Five Guys — Restaurant in Maumee

Unfortunately, this visit was not so great. 😕 Let's be real; five guys' burgers are delicious and a bit of a splurge, at least for our family. Placed a mobile order, which inevitably every time we still have to wait beyond the time it's suppose to be ready, which I've concluded is in their efforts for their food to always be freshly hot. Okay. So I checked in at the front, and she hollered my check-in to the crew working fries and burgers behind her. I make my way right to the pick-up counter and watch and wait for my order. I continue to watch and wait. I'm patient, so I continue to wait. People coming and going, employees working steady filling orders. I acknowledge that I don't know where my order falls into the queue. So, I continue to wait. 25 minutes pass, and now my facial expressions say it all! The fry guy, who has noticed me the entire time, asks for my order and gets to looking. It turns out it's this brown bag order that's been sitting on top of the fry hood since before I walked in, as I myself even noticed it right away! So I get a "I'm sorry" and now have to wait on hot fries to be made and put in my bag of 30+ minute old burgers! Just a total oversight on their part, resulting in poor...

High priced hamburgers that have been over rated. Tasty yes, but definitely NOT the best as advertised on signs. The cheese was not melted on our cheeseburger, th buns we're not grilled, the meat was thinking...just nothing extraordinary, as I expected by all of their advertising. I did like the grilled onions and mushrooms at no extra charge. Fun, red and white 50s style decor. Free Peanuts to munch on while waiting for food to be cooked was a bonus. The head banging loud music was NOT relaxing, and caused us to leave the restaurant for relief. Unfortunately, the blaring rock music was playing outside by the outdoor dining tables as well. I can see why head banging music loving yuppies who don't mind overpaying for fashionable restaurants with ordinary food would like this establishment; however, this is NOT for people who prefer higher quality food served at a good value price, in a relaxing...

I always come to this location when I’m in the area, maybe once a month and have decent food and service. Yesterday was not the case, when the cook was making 6 or so patties one of them broke but he continued to cook the broken piece. So I figured oh one of the burgers would get a broken one but it’s still the same amount of food. Wrong. My burger was the one that got the broken piece and he didn’t even add it in. It was the smallest patty and then missing a good chunk. The bread was so hard and stale and the burger was dry on top of it. I wish it wasn’t a to go order I would have asked for a new one had I known there. So...
