CoreLife Eatery — Restaurant in Maumee

Update. July 18 2022. As much as we love Corelife and the excellent quality of food, we're equally disappointed with the service inconsistency at this location. Both my husband and I order Corelife 2-3 times a week, and almost each time, something is wrong with our orders. Wrong size, missing extra meat (which we pay for), wrong toppings...etc.The only reason we keep coming back is the limited healthy food restaurants in Toledo/Maumee/Perrysburg area, especially this kind of build your own salad options. I really hope they figure this out and find a solution to ensure their staff do not mess online orders. Once we have more healthy options here, we'll definitely stop coming to Corelife Maumee location, unless they find a solution to their inconsistency. Two stars are for the quality of food which is excellent each time. Such a shame!

Original review. We're big fans of CoreLife and have been regular customers at this location. I made an online order yesterday 8/19 to be picked up at 11am. At 11:05, I was there but the restaurant was closed with a sign on the door that they'll be closed due to COVID-19 and staffing issues. I texted them on Facebook to ask for a refund but I still haven't heard back. I understand that restaurants are facing difficulties now but they could have easily just closed their online ordering so customers won't order and pay for their food. This is extremely unprofessional and disappointing. My friends and I had to make last minute arrangements and find another restaurant which was a hassle when we chose CoreLife for its healthy options. I absolutely love core life’s food, but challenges are mostly staff based I placed an order for pick up at 3:30 and was notified the order would be ready at 3:48. I arrived at 4 o’clock or slightly after and waited at the pick up area for several minutes. When the employee asked if I had a pick up order she told me it was not ready yet. I said OK it’s been 30 minutes how much longer do you have. The employee responded and said how busy she was and there was a team of 5 induvisls in the kitchen.

The employee then helped a customer with a pick up order and a second walk in order before coming back and offering me a complimentary beverage while I waited. I said no thank you, just now in a hurry for my food. A second staff member was prepping the food then told me it would be another 10 minutes for the steak at which point I asked him to change it to chicken.

I am always on when things happen, however the first employee had zero emotion, and was expressionless, stressed, and irritated that I was waiting for my order and asked how how much longer she thought it would be. A simply “I’m so sorry, but we are behind - is there anything we can do” can dramatically change any situation. This is the second time in two weeks something like this or similar has happened at...

This place is 10/10! We drove across town 3 days in a row to have lunch here because it was so good the first day we came! Service was excellent and the food was amazing. We like healthier options and we are now addicted to the build your own salad and the Greek taco. Today we tried the Greek taco on the Nan bread and it was even better. The chicken is so flavorful and juicy and cooked perfectly. & the drink options are awesome to! Our new favorite go to just wish it was closer! We also ate on the patio all 3 days and it was very clean and nice. One of the owners was planting flowers on the first day and he was very friendly. Highly recommend.
