Hotel room prices are crazy high along Ocean Dr in Miami Beach and this hotel is no exception. What do you get for handing several hundred dollars to the hotel staff? A VERY NOISY room - even though our room is on the 5th floor in the back the live music from the restaurants in front sounds like it is being made in our room. This in addition to the noise from the elevator every time it is used. ||As for the room's condition - recall you are paying several hundred dollars per night for this room (in our case $290 + fees) here are some of the easily observable issues (see pictures for proof):|1) The shower door handle is missing from inside the shower|2) A chunk of tile is missing in the shower near the door...water, no doubt is leaking under the shower and will likely cause damage in the future;|3) Poorly done wall repairs near vents and lights. Vents look like they have black mold coming out;|4) Desk is room has rust all over it;|5 ) The decorative pillows on the bed look like they've been used to clean the floor||Other negatives:|1. Valet parking is expensive - we used a public parking garage around the corner for $20/day;|2. Breakfast consists of a muffin and a cup of tea or coffee - recall we'd paid almost $300/night for a room||Yes, you can check off the “I stayed at an art deco hotel on Miami Beach” box by staying here, but don’t expect to get a good night’s sleep or a nice room for the few hundred dollars you'll being paying for...
Read moreI have long hesitated between this hotel, located right on the beach and in the heart of Miami Beach nightlife, and another one further inland on Collins Avenue, and don’t regret my decision. I came for a long week-end getaway and found a deluxe hotel room with everything I could ask for: early access to a super clean room with corner windows and a view of the ocean, free 2-hour bike rental (Miami Beach is both walkable and bikeable), free advice and reservation for city tours, free coffee and oranges 24/7. You’ll hear loud music in the evening because there are bands and sometimes dancers performing on the hotel’s gorgeous terrace, but that comes with the territory. This place IS in the heart of Miami Beach nightlife. |Overall, good, sunny weather with a bit of rain, but perfect humidity. II were to come again, I would consider...
Read moreThe hostel saved a ton of money to be able to do a lot of activities in south beach. I made a ton of friends in the hostel. The common area is constantly full of people playing cards, pool, cooking, and partying at night. You're within walking distance of the bests clubs on the beach. I rented a bike for the week and was able to get around easily. There is an amazing pizza place right next door, there is a bodega and a connivence store right across the street. 9th street is the best part of the beach for night light in my opinion. I had a great time and would...
