First the good: The location of this property is amazing, one row back from Ocean Drive, a super easy walk to the beaches and shopping and anything else you could want to do in the area. The room was clean. The pool area was excellent despite the pool being smaller than it appears in pictures! ( 3 feet deep). The drinks at the bar were amazing, Juan Francisco was very attentive, polite and was the highlight of our entire stay. The last day of our stay we were able to bring our luggage to the pool area with us so we could swim and enjoy some pool time. Now the bad: upon our arrival our door code did not work. We tried for several minutes to get in and eventually we're let in by another guest only to find a member of this property staff sitting on the other side of the door with a computer ignoring our attempts to get into the building. I reported to her that our door code didn't work, she was very unprofessional and rude and eventually stated there was an issue with the door and that our codes would not work until after 8:00pm. Our door code did not work the entire time we were there. If you get back to the property before 10:00 you can enter through the bar but returning anytime after 10:00 makes it extremely difficult. Our after hours calls and texts were not responded to in any reasonable amount of time. The room itself is very small, if you are over 5'10 or overweight it would probably be very difficult to use the toilet without scraping your knees on the wall (sounds weird but it's true). For two women traveling with large suitcases the room was an obstacle course due to the lack of floor space. Once we arrived in our room we noted the fan did not work. We reached out to Guest Services who then told us they would send someone shortly. We asked me notified because we wanted to be present in our room when somebody else was in there and we were told this request would be granted. After not hearing anything for a while we asked and were told they would come the following day. We waited until halfway through the next day before reaching out to get services to get the status of this request and more than told that there was a "complex problem in the ceiling" and that the issue would not be fixed until we checked out. Communication regarding this issue would have definitely been appreciated if I had not initiated every single request for an update I don't believe we ever would have heard anything. At the time of our departure, the elevator was not working and there was no one around to address this with. I also received a message stating that we needed to click a link on our reservation page to check out and there was no such link and again no one around to assist with this. There are many places to stay in Miami and unfortunately I do not think we will be returning to this one because it was a mess from start to finish.

Overall my experience was amazing, I just believe that there should be someone in the front who is bilingual to better assist the guest. There are many who are not tech savvy and I had to help many guest to sign in which became a hassle. The rep T, she was nice but also had a sarcastic tone which other guest did not appreciate. This is bad since the guest are coming flying in and are already needing assistance. I did get assistance for my sign in but had to wait a moment, then I was put in a room which was very nice. It was by the second day that the AC stop working but happy to know that it was taken care of and I was put in a new room. The food and drinks were spectacular!!!! Please do no change. And thank you in allowing us not only to play music in the pool area but to have a great time in the pool while eating and enjoying the vacation. It was an easy check out, because of being tech savvy. The hotel is beautiful and the employees in the restaurant and bar were friendly and welcoming

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Aloha Fridays! The hotel has a prime location, very close to everything, the beach, Ocean Drive, etc. We travel extensively, and I gotta say this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We had two rooms, a king room in the main building and a bungalow in the adjacent one. Very clean rooms, the king one had a fridge ( be aware, the closet is kinda small but the bathroom is huge and very modern). The bungalow was very roomy, nope, nothing like a motel room, with a kitchenette equipped with many options( I would add a toaster, but not a biggie). Yes, everything is mostly done by text messages, but they respond very quickly, are very professional, friendly and accommodating. Besides, there is always somebody in the hotel to help out with requests( towels, room probs, etc). We stayed ten days and received complimentary cleaning midstay( you have to request it via text). The hotel fee includes beach towels and chairs. As a suggestion, I would change their beach chairs partner to a closer one, as it is 4-5 blocks away, which is why we chose to just use the towels for the beach . The pool is not immense, but clean and very cute. Parking in a nearby municipal lot will cost you $20/day.I loved the fact we had to use our room code to get into the building, it made us feel very safe( they even have hotel security) . What truly sets this hotel apart is the amazing staff at the restaurant, bar and lobby. Victor, the chef, is the absolute best, the food is cooked to perfection and the attention you are given is nothing short of a personal chef experience. Victor, Mariano and Daryll made sure our stay was absolutely fabulous, the type of attention and quality of food and service equates the one you would receive at a five star resort. Thank you again, Victor, you...

Terrible customer service from start to finish. We booked a deluxe room that included a sofa bed specifically because we had three people. We were downgraded hours before check in and when we asked about compensation/ reimbursement for the cost difference the response was, “We’ll ask,” and that was the end of it. No follow-up, no update, nothing. To make matters worse, they made us check in 20 minutes late as when we arrived a cleaner was in our room with no idea that we were on the way and the downgraded room only had one bed—for three people! While waiting a young lady asked if we were okay and I mentioned we were waiting on the cleaner to finish. She said ahhh okay! Then just left!

We asked for help multiple times and were completely brushed off. The staff avoided us and continued to say, “There’s no update,” instead of actually trying to fix the situation they caused. Zero accountability, zero effort. One of us had to sleep on the floor ! They never offered anything to help with the situation. I had to go and try and ask for extra sheet to sleep on the floor. It took a long time for anyone to bring anything and when I went down to investigate the lady had things in a trash bag saying she was on the way but that I could take it since I was there while handing it over to me already. I asked her for more towels if possible and she said that she did not have any but if I wanted them that I could go get them at the pool even after she had given the garbage bag with extra sheets. She was as rude as can be when saying that. “If you want YOU can go get them at the pool”.

This level of service is unacceptable for any hotel. I would absolutely not recommend staying here—spend your money somewhere that actually respects its guests and takes responsibility for...
