BrownStone Social Lounge — Local services in Milwaukee

Yesterday evening I went to BrownStone Social Lounge for happy hour as well as to watch the NBA Finals-Game 1. I'm a frequent customer at BrownStone and I always have exceptional service, delicious cocktails and food. My experience yesterday, July 6th was below average and very disappointing. Things started off a little rocky. We wanted to be seated at the bar but were told that the bar was reserved for a private party. That's fine, so we were seated at a table. Please note, we were not informed that the table was reserved for a private party to watch the game.

Per usual, the food and drinks were excellent. We were getting ready to order a second round of drinks when we were notified by the assistant manager that our table area has been reserved for a private party and we would need to leave before 8:00 p.m. before the start of the Bucks game. No one notified us prior to sitting down that our area was reserved for the game. If we were notified upon entry that our table was reserved for the game we would have taken our business to another establishment.

As a courtesy to your customers, please deliver the same message to all your staff and guests. There was a lack of communication from the staff to the customers. For future games place a sign at the entrance closing your establishment for private parties. Additionally, stating that all drinks and food will only be served from 4pm-8pm and closed during the game for private parties.

This is our first time here from Atlanta and this was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a lounge. I wish I could give no stars!! First off we pull up to try to valet park and the gentleman is not friendly not willing to help us when we are asking how to properly park our car for valet. During our time trying to get assistance from him, he continues to have a conversation on his phone and roll his eyes at us. As we leave to park across the street and he said he will validate the parking when we leave, he flicks us off. When we enter the restaurant the waitress has a rude attitude and is barely wanting to assist us. We finally got drinks and a hookah for a little while and then left. As we left the restaurant we waited outside for the valet guy to come back, whom was no where to be found. We had to back inside to ask someone to assist us and they had to call him. As we look far to our left l, he was across the street making a drug deal. Then he comes back over and tells us he can not validate our parking because he had to park the care across the street. Now mind you, he DID NOT tell us that! He told his to park across the street and he will validate! He proceeds to start an argument with us and then go into the restaurant. Explain to me why do you have someone working for you with this type of attitude, not present on the job and I selling drugs 🤔. I mainly chose this place to support a black owned business but it’s sad that our people continue to treat each other with such disrespect respect! Never Again will...

Happy Hour Experience: Pros: Bartender was attentive, helpful & friendly Food is priced perfectly Food came out in timely manner, it was fresh & tasted great. Good music Good vibe Overall nice looking space

Late Night Reservation Experience: Pros: 1-6. Same as above Reserved section was three tables in size & provided ample room for the party Drinks & Hookahs were regularly checked Fellow bar goers were high energy & great to be around in general

Cons: Limited space overall makes it hard to dance & navigate throughout the bar.

Closing Thoughts: Whether it be grabbing a bite to eat & a few drinks during Happy Hour or trying to enjoy the night life of Milwaukee Brownstone Social is the place to be. The wings (both jerk & bbq) tasted amazing. The flatbread & dip were excellent as well. The Happy Hour prices can't be beat plus the food is reasonable priced even outisde of Happy Hour. Besides the space being on the smaller side I have nothing but good things to say & can confidently recommend going to...
