Decided to attend the Pfister Blu NYE "party" for the holiday weekend and although the hotel was very beautiful and all the staff very attentive and courteous the Blu left very much to be desired.

When I first inquired about the NYE festivities at the Blu I was informed that the event would have various musical performances as well as dancing to enjoy the evening as midnight drew near. Unfortunately what we experienced was a solitary band that took a break shortly after we arrived 9:30pm, which is fine except for the fact that they didn't go back on until 10:15-10:30pm. Additionally our waitress seemed confused in regards to what our NYE package provided us with and when we initially asked about appetizers were informed that they would be an additional charge. However after a period of 30-45 minutes when we decided to leave, we were asked if we would like instead for our appetizers that we had purchased to be sent to our room since we had not enjoyed/asked about them during a short stay at the Blu.

Long story short, as the wife & I left the NYE Blu party, I couldn't help but feel swindled as we had just spent a good sum of money for anything but what I was informed we were signing up for to ring in the new year.

Doing my homework in regards to previous NYE Blu celebrations it seems that other couples have felt the same and responses from management seem uninterested in resolving any issues/bettering the event for couples in the future. I think for future NYE celebrations we'll explore more tried and true avenues/events.

A couple additional points for Blu management. When setting up seating for guests that will spend upwards of $500-600 dollars it might be best to not have a credit card printer directly behind your client's ears. Staff that attend the evening might want to be more concerned about the guests/clients rather than their own...

Heard about the place and wanted to check it out for myself. The atmosphere was beautiful but the waitress was very rude. She hardly ever looked in the direction of me and my guest, asked everyone around us if they was okay but made it her business to ignore us. Her rudeness was so noticeable, that the people across asked if we would like some of their nuts because she didn't give us our own complementary dish. Watching her give others great service made me wanna cry because I wasn't given that same respect. We were also paying customers; the only difference between us and them was our skin color, we just happened to be the only black couple in there at that time. The service was so hurtful, that all I wanted to do was leave. She wouldn't even bring our check when we asked for it, my date had to go up to the bar and ask someone there for it. Even on the way out she passed by me at the elevators and gave me one of the coldest looks I've ever recieived. The waitress who's name begins with the letter A. provided us with that horrible service on Saturday January 20th 2018 between...

Very nice atmosphere. Very dim with a great city view. Drinks from their menu were very strong. The hostess was very nice, and our waitress was ariel, who was also nice and attentive. We needed a reservation because it was a 30-40 minute wait, but they easily texted us from our room to let us know the table was ready so we didnt have to wait around in that small space.

The only issue i had was that (while live music can be nice...) it was very loud in a small room. I felt like i had to sit very close to the people with me to hear them at all. They had a piano and (i believe) a cello? And once the musicians left to take a break, they put music on the speakers, which seemed much nicer and quieter than what they were playing. I was actually disappointed when they came back to play more live music... we also didnt even know they offered any kind of food/snacks until halfway through our drinks we overheard a table order cake. Would have been...

First time coming for the afternoon Tea Time. There were 3 of us. We had reservation and were seated right away. The view out the windows were spectacular. The dining area was bright and spacious. Our service did a nice job of explaining all the teas, allowing us all to smell and discuss. Plenty of great options and we each found a different one that we liked. The tea comes hot and steeping in beautiful antique tea pot, that allow you to tip/pour into your cup. The food was was a beautiful collection of canapes, scones, sandwiches, and chocolates. There was something for everyone's palate. It was good, but not excellent. Some of the sandwiches were dry and tasteless. Couple of suggestions. It would have been very helpful to have a small menu card for both the teas and the food items. It would have helped during the selection of the tea, as well while we were eating the different items.
