My wife, son and I went downtown for brunch on Sunday. The first 3 restaurants we had significant waits, so we went to Brunch which only had a 20m wait. They sat us on the second floor, which my wife likened to a high school lunchroom cafeteria ambiance: brightly artificially lit, noisy with older cheap tables and chairs. The floor dirty and silverware flimsy, to the point of flexing when you used them. The waitress mentioned she'd be with us in a minute after we sat down, but it was quite awhile before she came over to offer us drinks. When she did finally stop by, we had plenty of time with the menu and we were ready to order. Smoothies were on the menu, but they were no longer offering them. It took awhile to get our drinks -- coffee was lukewarm at best. My wife and I didn't find it good tasting coffee regardless of temperature, so we didn't ask for fresh coffee. Then we waited and waited . . . it took almost an hour from sitting down to finally getting our food. Our waitress did stop by after some time to let us know of some accident in the kitchen that delayed our food and mentioned the manager would compensate us. When the food did come out, my power bowl dish looked very sad. The avocado slices looked rotten, turkey sausage patties blackened and the eggs tough. The breakfast potatoes on the other hand were soggy. The waitress mentioned afterwards that my dish was under a heat lamp for awhile while waiting on my wife's and sons dishes. I finished less than half of it, avoiding gross looking avocado slices, mostly cause I was pretty hungry and hate wasting food. My wife and son said their dishes were so-so. The waitress apologized profusely and recognized the bad experience. They gave us a 25 percent discount (we didn't ask for any compensation), but what is appropriate compensation for food and an overall experience that someone would need to pay ME to consider? I won't return. There are too many good brunch places in the area to give them another chance. I'd have preferred McDonald's breakfast, better food, much quicker and I know the coffee...

I usually do not leave reviews like this, but our experience at this restaurant was extremely terrible. We were sat after a 20 minute wait (which is totally fine), then treated with an extremely quiet server. All 7 of us ordered a mimosa, and waited probably 10-15 minutes for our mimosas (knowing that it should not take that long to make 7 mimosas). Then finally put our food order in with our server, we waited 48 minutes for our food to arrive. We have time records of when we placed our food to when it came out. Also, the cook came out into the restaurant and said “did y’all get your food yet?” Which left us all extremely confused. When the food finally came out, all of the pancakes were cold, my friends “BLT” was pathetic, and the lettuce looked actually inedible. We all took a few bites and decided that most of our food was subpar, if that. We asked to speak to a manager. I manage a bar downtown Milwaukee myself, and I tried to be completely honest and kind with our complaints but it was just that bad. The “manager” that spoke with us seemed to want to listen to our complaints, but threw a sassy comment at us by saying “your clocks must run differently than ours” she claimed our food only took 30 minutes. Which again, even a 30 minute ticket time with a nearly empty restaurant is a little absurd. After going back and fourth with her for a few minutes, she then asked what WE wanted her to do, which puts us as paying costumers in a genuinely uncomfortable situation. As a manager, I speak to tables and offer discounts or drinks before asking them what THEY want ME to do for them. Anyways, they gave us a 25% discount, and after watching the entire staff gossip about our table we just wanted to get out of there. We still tipped our server 20% because it clearly was not her fault. 0/10 would not recommend this...

Ive been here during the week for both bfast AND lunch and wanted to try bfast on a Saturday morning..... **Parking - not bad considering this in DT MKE, we did get a nice spot. **Wait time - not bad, 20 min to the tee as promised **Service - here's where I have mixed feelings.... Our server was very sweet and prompt, our coffee was DELISH as well as the beignets <3. I ordered the newly added chilaquiles (a must try at every restaurant I personally go to to decide who has the best), and my partner ordered the lemonberry pancakes. My chilaquiles were delivered to me plain as day with barely any green sauce on it making them look dry and completely bare on the top with no fixings whatsoever minus the steak that was hidden underneath my poached eggs. When I asked the food runner about my toppings, he looked at me confused as t to what I was talking about, so I asked my server, and she did confirm via the menu that it WAS in fact missing everything the picture displayed and said that this was a new item so there must be some confusion.... Well, they not only missed all of the toppings on my quiles, but there were also out of the sauce that goes atop it all (for some reason the site does NOT have the item on the menu, but it IS on the menu in the restaurant). The server then looks over to my partners hot cakes and notices that the kitchen FORGOT to add the lemon sauce to his cakes and brings some back for him but by the time he can enjoy them, they are so cold that he had to ask for a re- heat..... Completely UNACCEPTABLE for 77$ bfast (including a gracious tip) for food that was basically dry bfast nachos and cold hot cakes.... (i was also NOT offered a temp on the steak, which some pieces can red and left uneaten) I would love to comeback if management would like to compensate..... Also, the pic is displaying the pepper in the salsa that was offered to me (please remember to REMOVE stickers pre veggie wash)

I’ll start with the positives - and there were a lot! We came on a Sunday around 2 pm - sliding in an hour before closing. They have an upstairs, but it closes at 1 pm. It was pretty crowded, and so we grabbed seats open at the counter. Pretty comfortable, and our server (Bree) was amazing - attentive and quick! She offered spot-on suggestions:) I would recommend, if you don’t have the patience to wait or hope for first come counter seating, come before 10:30 am. We had croissant beignets to start thanks to Bree’s suggestion - and they were fantastic! My tip is to double dip!! Dip first chocolate sauce and then the berry sauce to cover - to die for!! We tried chocolate solo, and it was underwhelming, but the two sauces together really made it over the top delicious! Enough to split between 2 or 3 people. We then ordered the breakfast burrito and the chorizo scramble - both fantastic and would order again! We had enough left overs for breakfast the next morning at home. I really want to come back to try the lemon berry pancakes! I have to admit - this is one of those times I really wish it was possible to give half stars - it probably was more like a 4.5 in my book, but only because it was so cold inside, I never took my jacket off! We sat near the front at the counter - which was great because otherwise it would have been 35 minute wait for a table - but it was really cold. I did order a hot chocolate immediately to curb the chill. You could tell it was end of shift and so there were a few tables that needed to be picked up. But to be fair, we arrived only an hour before closing. Being that we loved the food & service, it only seemed right to give 5 stars. Parking is on the street, but we found parking pretty quickly and very close by. We’ll definitely be back!
