For the sake of transparency - I work here but I want people to know what's great about our spot.
First off, this is the original location (there are a few) We offer gluten free options but we do not offer vegan options while Hot Stacks CAFE does. People rave about our GF options and our servers are very knowledgeable about how all our food is prepared.
I always recommend our French Toast because it's soooooo good. It's fluffy, it's on Texas toast, it literally never disappoints. I've worked here for over 3 years been eating it since the very beginning and will eat it until the very end 😂 trust me.
The omelettes are delicious, filling, and come with your choice of grits and toast OR pancakes included in the price so you get a decent little array for the money. If you like seafood - check out out Calabash Shrimp Omlette. They definitely don't skimp on the grilled shrimp and it goes well with the swiss cheeses flavor.
Also the breakfast club is a banging sandwich if you're into breakfast sandwiches. It's served with either hash browns or home fries. Personally, I always suggest the home fries because we hand cut them ourselves and if you get them a little bit well done they are to die for.
I see a lot of reviews on here complaining about the prices. Please understand inflation is at a 40-year high and we the servers are not making the prices nor are we profiting from the increase. We're just here to be knowledgeable about what we serve, give you the very best breakfast experience we can, and pay our bills like everyone else in this wild world.
We have a FANTASTIC kitchen crew. These guys have been here a long time and know how to handle high volume quality food with ease. Don't let the wait scare you off if there is one because I can promise once you're seated and your server has gotten your order and put it in we have got a quick turnaround for our food coming out of our kitchen.
This restaurant is CLEAN. From the restrooms to the kitchen I've worked in many restaurants over the years and this place is kept very clean in comparison. Our owners are two of the hardest working Greeks I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They're here everyday working with us so come say hey and check us out in downtown sunny...
Read moreNot sure why people like this place. Maybe it’s the food or maybe it’s the service, but it’s definitely not the prices or the owner. Let the start with this, I am here celebrating my mom 55th birthday. We are only 5 adults and a 7 year old,. First of all the place looks like a Denny’s inside. When I walked in I was meet at the door by a rude host that turned out to be the owner. He sent a host to sit us at a table in the middle of the floor my mom wanted a booth, but with a party this size I knew that would be hard to accommodate. However I was in luck there was a table/booth half and half styled near the table we were headed to so I asked could we sit here instead. Now, I am used to be a manager at a restaurant so I know sometimes you can’t do that. She told me there was a very large party coming and it couldn’t accommodate, I said that was OK and she was very pleasant. However on the other side of the restaurant there was another table in the same manner I asked if that was OK instead again being OK if she told me no. She said that one was fine so we sat there a few minutes later the owner came by and told me that he could not allow me to stay there because that table was reserved for big parties only he was very rude and did not say it as kindly as I’m writing it. After sitting for about 20 minutes and the rest of my party order food I’ve noticed no party walked in the door at all these were potential customers that were not here and I was a customer here right now. The more I thought about it the more I thought I could take my business elsewhere. There is no discredit to the server at all she...
Read moreMy recent visit to Hot Stacks was quite underwhelming, leaving me disappointed with the overall dining experience. Despite the restaurant's promising name and the anticipation of delicious pancakes, the reality fell short of expectations.
Upon arrival, I was pleased to find ample parking spaces available near the restaurant. The parking lot was well-maintained, with clear signage and designated areas for parking. This made it easy to locate a spot without wasting time driving around or struggling to find an available space.
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The staff members were friendly, approachable, and attentive, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. They promptly guided me to a clean and well-prepared table.
If only the food was better. I had a full breakfast spread, and the pancakes were not good. The menu also offers a variety of other breakfast items, such as omelets, French toast, and breakfast sandwiches.
The service, however, was great. The atmosphere at Hot Stacks was cozy and inviting. The diner-style decor and comfortable seating created a pleasant environment. The staff members were friendly -- our server in particular -- and welcoming, providing attentive service throughout my visit.
The pricing at Hot Stacks Pancake House was reasonable, considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. The menu catered to a range of budgets, making it an accessible choice for...
