We had the worst sleep here! Room 530 was right next to a loud highway and right above garbage dumpsters that were slammed overhead a garbage truck every day at 3am. Also there were dogs fighting in the adjacent pet run. The windows were thin, letting excess noise in (and I live in NYC on the 5th floor so I'm not being picky). The blinds were for privacy only, letting tons of light in. The beds were majorly sagged in the middle. The halls smelled of cigarette smoke. The apartment was clean but furniture and cabinetry appeared worn. Towels and linens were cheap quality. Phone support never picked up when we called. Messages were often delayed. Support sent someone to poorly fix the bed supports that were causing the bed to sag (this maybe fixed 50% of the sagginess). Parking was up 6 excruciating levels. Shampoo provided, no conditioner. Most of the Tesla chargers were broken. One of the guests left for another hotel. They had nowhere else to send us despite showing availability at their other properties on the website.

Very nice condo. Room pictures and advertising show balconies in the rooms. There Is not one in every room. No place to store luggage when you get into town early. They said they Offered early check-in, but was denied to us, even though I called ahead two weeks. The facility was not crowded so not sure why we were denied. Customer service was very easy to deal with, And offered compensation for the no balcony issue. Pool area was gorgeous. The worst part about this place was the construction going on accross the street starting at 7 AM every day so you got no sleep. If it was not because of the construction I would stay here again.

What a hidden gem! We booked here as many hotels did not have a pool. We did not want to be in the crazy chaos of Broadway,. The location is incredible! You are walking distance from many great restaurants, shops and sites! Uber rides range from $7 to $13 (Green hills mall area). The apartment flow worked very well! One thought if this were my apartment would be toput up a mirror in the bedroom to allow for hair & makeup prep. Pool & rooftop accommodation were fantastic!! We loved it and will be back!

One star for four walls, a roof, and general space (not cramped quarters). One star for the pool.

Everything else I wish I could forget. Where to start - despite the website stating check-in instructions would be sent 72 hrs in advance, they weren’t. I got a half dozen text messages within a short time from multiple numbers announcing and reminding me to fill out additional paperwork, announcing a change in management during my stay, and alerting me to my unit being ready but no actual instructions on how to get in/which unit. I was on the phone for 45 mins trying to reach someone.

The actual “Locale” name on the building was a sign so small you’d blink and miss it so pinning down the appropriate parking garage was a pain.

Parking one place to then hike through a labyrinth to the unit to retrieve a parking pass and access fobs only to retrace steps to move said car to the new designated area where you have to register the car for additional parking fees (why this registration wasn’t part of the paperwork needed before arrival I don’t know) was a pain but I could deal. Arriving at the required parking area with signs listing incorrect numbers as the only contact information for registering your vehicle with threat of towing was not so great.

The unit itself was a bit of a bait and switch - while the layout and furnishings nominally matched the booking site listing, it was pretty clear that they staged it only to look pretty/clean/updated for pictures. The furniture was flimsy, couch deeply uncomfortable and shallow, the kitchen was oddly supplied - 8 sets of plates (some with stuck on food) but only 3 forks/4 spoons/etc., knives that didn’t really cut, mismatched glasses/coffee mugs. It was like they just stuffed things in drawers/cabinets at random. The window covering actually didn’t do anything to block the sun - it was like being blinded by spot lights every morning at 5 a.m.

Cleaning was clearly not being tended to. The floors were foul - literally bottoms of socks/feet black within mins of walking around the space. The shower in one bathroom had black mold/mildew ringing it and the tub in the other bathroom hadn’t seen bleaching in a while. The walls had smudged dirt stains you get from heavy use without cleaning. The carpets in the closets were heavily stained. Just generally dingy.

I might have bumped it up one star for location if I were only looking from the entrance to the building but my unit faced the highway and we definitely knew it. Honestly it sounded like we were smack in the middle of the highway it was so loud at all hours. We actually spoke with some of the permanent residents one afternoon asking how they could stand living there long term with the traffic noise. They laughed, guessed which floor we were on (which they guessed correctly), and stated their unit was just fine/never heard a thing. Our floor was the one they put guests in indicating they’d intentionally cut corners on the construction of the floor being used for vacation rentals. Hence the horrible noise disturbance.

At one point the door codes/fobs stopped working supposedly because of the management transferring but that seems like a flimsy excuse. Why wouldn’t there have been transition protocols in place to keep that from occurring. I spent another 30 mins on the phone trying to reach someone to reinstate them.

And finally - no check-out instructions. Just vague language on the website from check-in that indicated each location was different.

I won’t go into the issues the other members of my party had with their units/reservations. My issues were minimal comparatively. Suffice to say - I would not recommend this place and certainly won’t return unless the new management makes some...

Booking was made on June 23 through Booking.com and the property was under a different name - Locale The Gulch. A few days later I received an email and text message from The Mint House explaining that they were the new owners and management company for the property, now called The Mint House. The email stated not to worry, that the reservation remains intact, that they just changed ownership. "OK, cool" - I thought. As the check-in date approached, I received a message asking about my estimated arrival. I don't usually reply to these messages, but since the property is an apartment building, not a hotel, I thought that this was so that management had someone ready to hand out the keys to us. Again, I didn't think anything else. 2 days before checking in, I received message giving me arrival instructions, requesting that I do a pre-check-in, which was basically signing an agreement that I would not have more than 2 people in the property, that parties were not allowed, etc, and taking photos of my ID and a selfie for their safety, files etc. The message also stated that I would receive the apartment number and the PIN to enter the apartment 1 hours before checking in. Mind you, I already told them my exact arrival time a few days prior! I arrived and by then I still had not received a PIN or apartment number, so I'm now at the mercy of their reply. I texted, I emailed and held on the line for over 20 minutes....no answer anywhere. I contacted Booking.com and told them about the issue. They said that they would help me by sending a message to the property and calling, asking that they respond to me. During this time, I received a text message from The Mind House asking for reservation number, dates and location of the property "to better assist me." I responded and never heard back. After 1 hour of following up, the Booking.com agent contacted me again saying that they also gave up trying to reach the property. |They immediately canceled the reservation, returned my money and helped me get a new place to stay. ||All of this to say that while Booking.com came to the rescue (this is why I always use their services), The Mint House basically showed no interest in coming through with my reservation and basically just pushed me off their way. I was left without a place to stay and now it was on me to find a new place (Did I mention that this weas on a Friday, Labor Day Weekend?)||24 hours prior to checking out, I received an automated email and text message from The Mint house saying that they hop that I've been enjoying my stay. and to remember that check out is at 11 am." WHAT???? They have no clue that I didn't stay in the property because of their own lack of response on the day of check-in?!?!||It gets "better..." On the day of check-out I received an email saying Thanks for my stay and "click here to review our property." I was soooo glad to receive this email. I was finally able to express to them my dissatisfaction. So I did. Their answer? "Sorry that you had issues and we hope to see you again soon."||After doing some research about this company today, I realized how many negative reviews they have on reddit, Trip Advisor, Google... I can't believe that I missed those and should have known better. As for " the next time," I will NOT be using The Mint House for any of my travels, and neither should you. That is, if you don't want to be left outside and with hours spent on the phone and looking for a new place to stay, when you could just be enjoying your...

This was a new experience for me, I had never rented an apartment for the night like you do a hotel. Of course I have done Air BnBs before but this was different still. A good different. This was a last minute booking as it was during the Taylor Swift concerts in Nashville and everything was taken or quadruple the price. I was lucky to have found this place while scrolling through one of the various apps in a panic trying to find a place I could afford. While it was a little pricey for 1 night, I am sure the price had to do with the demand of the concert goers and was still cheaper than most hotel rooms. If it was the same price on a regular day, I wouldn't book it. Being so last minute I didn't know what to expect with getting into the building and parking and such. They made is so easy sending text right away with instructions. I realized on my way to the apartment I hadn't received the code for the building or the apartment itself and was worried we would be sitting outside for sometime waiting on an answer and would be late for the concert. On the contrary, I received the codes within minutes. I had a couple other questions throughout my stay and they were always answered and done so quickly. I also loved that I could text instead of having to call someone everytime. The apartment itself was very clean and very nicely furnished. The little touches of coffee and canned water were nice. Also liked that they made attempts to solve the noise issue, due to the apartment bedroom and living room being up against an interstate, by providing earplugs and a sound machine. Unfortunately it wasn't enough. That would be my only complaint, the noise and the light in the morning. The shades are light filtering so they are still somewhat see-through. I was a little concerned with privacy as well as how much light got through and no noise protection provided by the shades. Lights were coming through from the interstate all night and the sunlight woke me up very early. Not ideal for those on the weekend or on vacation who want to sleep in. I believe if some blackout/noise reducing curtains were hung on top of the shades that would solve the problem for noise and light. Otherwise the king sized bed and the sofa bed were both very comfortable with nice bedding. I...
