We stayed in room 203 in early October 2024 for our anniversary. This was so, so close to being a 5-star rating, but there are many issues present that need to be addressed by management. Pros: • Lovely transitional interior design preserving the historical charm, while integrating creative and modern styling. LOVE the French Market sketch from the 80s in the bathroom. • On the edge of the French Quarter, so you'll avoid a lot of the chaos. Nearby enough however, should you choose to engage. • Shower head is AWESOME! Very luxurious addition to the suite. • Umbrellas by the main entrance for guest use were a thoughtful addition, as it rained most of our trip, and we didn't have our own on hand. • No kids is very peaceful. Cons: • Hot tub was barely lukewarm, if not cold. Pool water was FRIGID. My husband asked the front desk attendant if there was a way to turn up the heat, and the attendant said no. • Lights inside the pool/hot tub were burnt out, and the blinding, bright white security lights on the building shone right on the pool, so the setting was anything but romantic. • Saw a large rat running across the courtyard toward the pool, when we tried the hot tub again on our third night. • Dust and potential mold issues. My husband (who is severely allergic to mold) complained of sinus issues the entire stay, and said they improved every time he left the suite. The oscillating fan in the bedroom was caked with dust, as was the hair dryer. • Very poor wifi connection, especially between the hours of 11am and 4pm. Our TV shows frequently buffered or crashed in the middle of an episode. Fine for us since we were vacationing and have unlimited phone data, but won't work for someone attempting WFH. • Spiral staircase in the Executive King suite is very narrow and rickety. The stairs are extremely steep, but also short. My hamstrings were sore by the end of our stay from climbing them, and this is coming from someone who lives in a third-floor walkup apartment, lol. I would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues, large feet, or anyone on the higher end of plus size (I'm roughly a US women's 18-20, and I don't think anyone much larger could fit up the stairs, tbh). • Asked about laundry service or washer/dryer on site, and the desk attendant laughed and said "...no." Ended up taking a Lyft to Suds Dem Duds at the end of our stay to do laundry (which I *can* highly recommend) I get the impression that a lot of the maintenance around the hotel fell behind around 2020. I'd stay here again, but would advise the owners to consider fixing many of the aforementioned issues around the hotel. Beautiful grounds and very fair pricing, but very much a no-frills stay. I would have been happy to pay a little more for a HOT hot tub and a cleaner, less dusty room.

I wish that I were a better writer so that I could accurately describe just how great our stay here was. Staff: 10/10 If I could give them a 15/10 I would. Champagne was so, so, so great! The general manager (I'm so sorry, I can't remember your name!) was really cool. Everyone was so accommodating and pleasant, and genuine! They listened to us talk, asked questions, were engaging, and just super authentic. You could really ask them for help with anything, and I feel like they're the sort of people that would give you the shirt off their back. Lovely people.

Location: 9/10 It's super close to pretty much everything. It's also far enough off the main roads to not be noisy when you're trying to sleep. We stayed in two rooms: one in the back, and one near the street. The room closest to the street was louder, of course, but the bedrooms were quiet. For proximity and peace in the Quarter it's almost perfect.

Value: 10/10 Size and price are great.

Cleanliness: 9/10 It's a 200 year old building, not a hospital. It was about as clean as our house, and we like to clean. (They have vacuums in the rooms, which we loved lol!) Housekeeping folds the towels in a cute way.

Customer service: 10/10 They were able to help us find another room in our price range here in the hotel when we decided to stay an extra day. They always have cake and fresh coffee in the lobby. Their restaurant recommendations are great and there are some coupons in the lobby. Champagne recommend Oceana and it turned out to be one of the best, cutest, and least expensive meals we had.

Aesthetic: 8-9/10 We stayed in the executive king and the 2 br townhouse. The King was an 8 only because the townhouse was a 9 lol! We were impressed with the King, but the other suite was gorgeous. It only gets a 9 because I bet the double floor Queens and Kings are even better! It feels like you're staying in an old luxury mansion. The courtyard and pool are private and absolutely beautiful. The whole place is gorgeous. The photos don't do it justice.

This place is great. The other visitors were polite and kind. Everyone was respectful. It wasn't noisy or crowded. I feel like I should say something bad so it doesn't seem like I'm just trying to shill the place, but in all honesty everything was great, and we will 100% always stay here from now on, even if we have to save a little longer to afford it. I hope, if you're reading this, that yall decid to stay here and have just as great a...

I really made a poor choice in my decision to stay here. I should have read the reviews more throughly both on yelp and trip advisor before booking. I should have read their cancellation policy closely before booking shame on me.

Let's start with the good. The staff is friendly. The mini breakfast pastries are good. I think that's it.

I was so excited for my NOLA trip. This room was booked months in advance. I booked a King Executive Suite directly on their website. I immediately called to request a quiet room. Javier told me he could accommodate my request by putting me in the back.

After checking in I knew there was a problem. They gave me room 207. Although its off the street and only one unit is below they failed to recognize it shares a wall with the Holiday Inn next door. From 9/9:30 to 5/6 the industrial washers and dryers of the hotel next door are running all day next to you. Next to the bedroom in fact and also audible in both the living room and bedroom. I immediately notified the front desk. They called the owner Vic and basically told me there is nothing they can do to help me. I paid $199 for 2 of these nights and $349 for the other 2. I absolutely feel ripped off. If I were traveling on the company dime I would have checked out immediately. Vic hasn't felt the need to contact me about the room or offer any type or reimbursement.

In addition to the room being very noisy the room was dirty. I thought I'd give housekeeping the benefit of the doubt but after one day it was clear no sweeping, vacuuming, mopping of any type was done. My black hair was still on the white bathroom tile. Shower knob felt like soap scum. There were crumbs in the dining area from a previous guest. Dust was on walls and framed art in the bedroom, ceiling fan and heating/cooling vents.

There are no windows which can be opened in the unit. Only the main door. The other pair of french doors are dead bolted. The bedroom had outside shutters nailing it shut. There are no other windows in the unit. All rooms had aluminum blinds which do not help with sound or temperature insulation. Usually hotels have curtains which help with both.

I've had better experiences at a Motel 6. I normally do not post photos but my stay was so horrible I feel it necessary to share. I do not recommend...
