Never going back there again. I have went for a weekend getaway every summer for the last 3/4 summers. It got a little worse each time. We even took other family members and friends there with us. It was always a quick, convenient, cheap stay. They always had vacancies. So it worked out. After this summer, NEVER again. There were times things were really gross, dirty, or broken. And it was just embarrassing. They definitely need to put some money into it. Seen bugs in there. Broken air conditioner leaking water every where, mold in the room from the water. Even when we went to reserve for our stay this summer I requested 2nd or 3rd floor room. They tell us that they’re fully booked and they “gave us the last room”. Come to find out, the first 3 nights there that we were almost the only ones around! It was crazy. It was empty. Well Besides the local woman who brought her friends and family to the pool every day. Oh, The pool I had to clean for about half hour every time I went to use it bc no one takes care of it. I just felt like I was working still not relaxing. The cable was out the whole time. And the ice machine we kept paying to get ice from takes your money and is empty. You say something to the guy in office and he tells you to “try the other one on the 3rd floor” and gave money back to try the other EMPTY one!!! Annoying and frustrating. After a few days of that, we would just walk to the liquor store every day to buy bags of ice. Now that we are aware of how awful it truly is never again. There are way better hotels that actually take care of their property, are helpful and give you free endless supplies of ice... go figure! Definitely staying at a more clean, peaceful, relaxing place for now on. You get what you pay for. And I rather pay a few dollars more to enjoy my stay. We work hard for our money. Read more*UPDATE-- Management approached me about the wifi to see if it got any better. I explained to them that the only solid connection was on the deck and told them how maybe they should try restarting the system. I told them I study computers and they actually brought me to see the network system and I explained to them how it works. They told me it's hard to get the technician because he works with all the nearby motels! We restarted it and there was a drastic improvement. I love that they looked out for us and tried to fix the problem . Oh and it feels like they read the review lol because they even updated the old TVs! *END UPDATE
It's okay... Everything was pretty good. The rooms smelled good when we came in, it was clean. The environment was positive and the staff were nice. It's just the wifi... If you really need wifi or expect good wifi... Look elsewhere! Being someone who's familiar with networking systems, they need an upgrade on their current system. Not enough bandwidth for everyone. The optimum wifi on the second floor deck works great but the motels wifi... Good luck. By the way bring HDMI cables, laptops if you can, some of the rooms have old box tvs. I...
Read moreManager over charged three friends and I, tried to blame us for smoking (none of us smoke) and charge us with a $250 smoking fee, then went into our room on the check out day and tried to blame us for scratches on a bureau and a chipped chair luckily we had pictures to prove the scratches were already on the bureau but unfortunately no pictures of the chair so they took $85 dollars from our security deposit for a partical board chair, he lied to us in saying all the furniture was brand new and became aggressive with my friend and I and brought in multiple members of the staff to try and intimidate us then threatened to call the police when we asked to see if he had pictures of the chair without a chip in it. The owner likes to prey on young patrons. This place made Memorial Day Weekend 2015 the worst one that I've ever had will never return and would not recommend this...
