Five Girls Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in North Wildwood

SECOND VISIT: Decided to give them a second chance and ordered the same meal as the first visit since the food was so good the first time. This time when placing our order we selected the food in the order we wanted to receive it. This time we ordered one order of fries first, then the sandwiches. This seemed to work this time. Also didn't have to wait as long for the food, everything was out within a half hour. So for this visit I changed the Service rating from 2 to 5 Stars. The food was just as DELICIOUS as the first visit and the cheese steaks were definitely over stuffed. These steaks were HUGE. In fact, like the fries we are thinking about ordering one sandwich and splitting it between us. We will definitely be back for more before the end of summer. GREAT JOB GIRLS and GUYS you upped your game on this visit.

FIRST VISIT: The food was delicious even though one cheese steak was missing the cheese and the other was missing the mayo. When we arrived there was 4 other people ahead of us placing their order. So I do not understand why the food was so slow to come out. The drinks came right away which we almost finished before we got our sandwiches, and I was done eating my sandwich before our fries came out. I went to 5 Girls – The Sandwich Shop based on several recommendations from coworkers and passengers who said the food was amazing. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype.

I started with the chocolate milkshake, but it tasted more like plain milk with chocolate syrup. It lacked any real milkshake flavor or thickness.

The mini burgers (supposed to be five small patties) were okay in terms of the meat, but the bread tasted old—not fresh at all, which really took away from the meal.

Next were the cheese fries. The fries themselves were a good portion and tasted fine, but the cheese came in a small plastic container on the side instead of melted over the top like proper cheese fries. Charging an extra $2 for that was disappointing.

Lastly, I ordered a cheese steak hoagie. The meat was in big, chunky pieces instead of being sliced thin and cooked properly. The bread it came on also tasted old and not fresh.

Overall, I was really hoping for a better experience, especially after hearing so many good things. Sadly, I left disappointed. I hope the quality improves because the potential is there—it just wasn’t...

Alright here it goes. We purchased our condo in November 2019 and saw their Coming Soon Sign and couldn't wait for them to open. Well we all know what happened in 2020. Well they finally opened recently and we ordered for the first time on June 12th. Saying the food was fantastic is an understatement they are AMAZING!!!. I grew up in a Jewish neighborhood and we had great Jewish restaurants and Deli's. I ordered the Pastrami & Corned Beef Special and it was the best I ever had, it blew away all the places I grew up with. It was so big I had to save half until the next day for lunch. My wife ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich it was gigantic and delicious. We both had salads and we had an order of fries. Can't wait to try their burgers and steak sandwiches.
