NEVER AGIAN! I will never agian insure my phone through geek squad! They charged me 159$$ for a replacment device, that was a refurbished phone, when i was yold in store when i got the insurance on my contract that its replaced in store for 150, not tge case, i did my service request, they said my money would not be deducted until my device was shipped, it was taken out the 19th. It is now the 27th, i called geek squad and they haven't even gotton my phone yet. I went through 3 different people and a supervisor to findd out they don't have it in stock and i will get a goft card but they don't know the status of when or what form.. very upset! So much mis informing! Never agian. Just add the insurance through your contracted company, much much easier!!! Also u get a new device in store with ur contracted company. Don't get a protection plan through them. Don't get a protection plan at all. Its a waste of money, just get a really good phone case if you're thinking about insuring your phone. Geeksquad is terrible. I seriously would never recommend it to anyone! I cannot stress this enough.. I you're thinking about getting a geeksquad protection plan, DON'T. I purchased one and ended up cracking my phone screen, so I went in to get a new one, and I was told that I would still have to pay about 160 bucks for a new phone (which isn't new at all.. If you get a insurance plan, Its a joke. I was told I would have to pay more than my phone was worth to get it replaced, I bought it for $50 after they messed up on my original phone when it was about $110 with no discounts, I thought that was awesome! Then I dropped my phone and went to use the plan and was told it would be almost $50 to replace it and they wont even attempt to repair it.
