The greatest new years(2019) and at a $20 event charge it was well worth it covering champagne as well. The Duce is a hidden gem out lower Central Phoenix. The Burlesque show for the new years on the boxing stage was well put together and they took enough breaks to have the DJ get people on the dance floor and then back to a show to liven up the crowd a little more as the night when on. I hear they hold more events like this but I have only frequented to meet friends to socialize before new years eve night.I would call this place an Event Center. Not a bar not a club but a place where you can go and have a little bit of entertainment in all areas well above a Main Event for adults. They have themed rooms but stay in a general rustic modern day decor. Activities like cornhole with bleachers to watch the floor, ping pong and Foosball, hula hoops, a boxing stage as mentioned but not for public use on the regular. It has a DJ floor for dancing and a few bars through out the place. The DJ they have plays a good mix for wide range of people. The outdoors is another spot all in its own picnic style tables with a built in food truck. The drinks they have created for their menu are solid. They are made with fresh fruits alot of muddling going on and these bartenders are on point with these drinks. You can drink and eat the fruit afterwards. Its a good mixture to have all activities not just to go to a bar. So if your looking for more then just the bar stool and some fun its a well put together place in that area. Valet Parking is a major plus their too. Its hard to describe this place because its just that unique. I leave only one thing that brings it a star down for me. It does not have A/C built in due to the warehouse style building it is in. It was real hot during the summer a few times but still enjoyed dancing my soul away. I do hear that though the building has a nice backstory to who used to own it before, being a gym I believe thats were all the workout items around the...

Read moreI love going to The Duce. This review is for Dining in the Dark. I was taken as a surprise gift from my wife and was really excited when I got there and found out what we were doing. This went downhill fast. They had one person working so a line formed just to go sit for your reservation. The person MCing the event was reading off her phone the whole time, was not exciting or entertaining. Normal dining in the dark is in an actual dark room, this is in a side room with music blasting from the other end of the bar with a blindfold on. They literally say on their FAQ page "Guests will enter a darkened room, only lit by the flicker of candlelight" which is absolutely not the case. The food was basically the normal menu at The Duce, so I have had all of it and is in no way worth the $80 per person plus any drinks you order. They trick you on their event page to make you think you are getting a luxurious dinner. It's bar food, good bar food, but bar food, and a plastic cup of water. At the end they literally forgot to bring my wife and I dessert, they told everybody to take their blindfold off, and everybody around us had a dessert plate finished. I feel like they scammed my wife. We could have just went to the Duce, put blindfolds on, and told the waitress to bring us 6 random items on their menu and paid 1/2 of what we did. Shame that the duce hosted this event. There is a reason there is nowhere to leave this event a review. Don't get duped dining in "the dark"...
