Upon arrival to the motel check in my family and I noticed an odd odor of beef in the lobby, but wait its gets better! The housekeepers consisted of at least two young teen boys and a few senior citizen men. When we finally got our parking pass and stepped foot in our room, which honestly the room is so tiny we could each only fit one foot into the room we noticed no outlets, lamps, storage, and the bathrooms were the size of a matchbox. The shower was dirty and covered in stains and only had one temperature; freezing cold. Only 4 small towels per room and no wash cloths or hand towels. I don't understand why this motel can't afford to replace the toilet seat and air conditioner which both looked like they survived WWll. I hope no designers vacation here because the bathroom floor was actually three different floor types and seeing that would drive anyone insane. The two queen size beds are hard as rock, and one of them covers what appears to have once been a closet, I say get rid of one bed and resume closet use. The television is from the 1800's and is perched oh so dangerously on top of a dinky little side table. As for appearance it's terrible. On the plus side there were no bugs or rodents! I would not recommend this motel to anyone and I will never...
Read moreStayed in this if you even want to call it a hotel about 2 years ago. By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life time. If I could give it negative stars I would, believe me. First off owner tried to upgrade me and my family to a bigger room that was absolutely disgusting with a ghetto pull out couch. Room was small and look like it survived WW2. Shower floor was caving in and had bugs in it. Air conditioner did not word felt like I was in Africa. Pool was cloudy and looked like it hadn’t been clean in a decade. Door had looked like it had looked like the cops did a search warrant on it. But wait it gets better when I was trying to sleep there was a man that looked high looking at me through my closed blinds playing loud music and smoking. Had to wake up in the middle of the night and tell him to go away. It’s now 2019 and it looks like it turned into a welfare motel. There is a security guard sitting out there with a bullet proof vest and collapsable baton. Would not stay here ever again if it was the only place I had left to live. I feel bad if you are or did stay here. Would not recommend to anyone...
Read moreMy husband and I traveled for a mini honeymoon. We arrived late at night. The man at the front desk was friendly but we were disgusted by our “apartment room”. It was filthy, in every area of every room. I was scared to touch the fridge because it was so disgusting on the outside. The entire room reeked of mold, mold and Lord only knows what else!!! The door was difficult to open or shut. The furniture was stained/dirty. We were scared to even sit on the beds. The bathroom was gross. After 15 minutes we packed our stuff and checked out. Thankfully we paid cash and got our money right back after the man in the office showed us a “renovated room” that smelled of smoke and mold so bad, We took one step in and one step out. This place needs a serious make-over and did not seem safe or clean. We looked up nearby motels and went there instead. Sea Palace Motel is wonderful thus far if you need a good place to stay, clean, roomy, quiet!!! Close to boardwalk. Whatever you do, save your money, time And sanity… do not stay...
