Steaks Unlimited — Restaurant in Seaside Heights

This place doesn't even deserve a star for the health violations I witness today specially through our pandemic. First they didn't have funnel cakes which at most places they would either let ya know or mark off menu. Secondly we order 4 fresh lemonades not a very happy lady as we can tell goes to the back to begin making them NO GLOVES NO WASHING OF HANDS, AFTER TOUCHING COMPUTER SCREEN, PEN, AND PHONE FROM TAKING AN ORDER, goes back to making our drinks STILL NO WASHING OF HANDS OR PUTTING GLOVES ON grabs the lemons with her BARE HANDS and begins squeezing the juice, AS SHE WIPES HER HANDS ON HER SHIRT EACH LEMON SQUEEZED brings our cups up to the front takes another guest order leaving us waiting takes his card gives reciept AGAIN NO WASHING OF HANDS NOT GLOVES adds liquid to one of the 4 cups shakes sets down takes another order gets money puts in drawer hands back change STILL NO WASHING OF HANDS OR GLOVES starts talking to that guest sets one of the 4 lemonades on the counter we ask her to please wash her hands or put gloves on she gives us a dirty look and says I'm only touching the cup AND WIPES HER HANDS OFF ON A DIRTY RAG well ma'am there is a pandemic but even before it you are suppose to be wearing gloves regardless and washing hands after touching multiple cards and cash the guy behind her cooking says just give them their money back so we just left needless to say this place was so unsanitary let alone rude and we will never go here again and wouldn't recommend it. I went to Steaks Unlimited last night (11/30/24) now I’ve been going to Steaks Unlimited for 17 years. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE their Cheesesteak Sandwiches. THE BEST!! I always get a Seaside Tony but this one that I ordered on the above date Was HORRIBLE!!! The pocket bread was different smaller/thinner not the usual bread and the Steak was DRY as DRY can be and it had NO FLAVOR whatsoever. The cheeseballs that were in my sandwich were ‘burnt’, I was pretty much choking on them! I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I couldn’t believe what I was eating. Shock, pure disbelief! My son’s cheesesteak was also extremely DRY!! And I know that they used to put some kind of special ‘seasoning’ on the steak while cooking them and that wasn’t there either!?! And our order of cheese balls were extremely ‘overcooked’. I WAS SO UNHAPPY and VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED and SO was my Son. Will rethink next time and maybe try the other Steak place across the street? I’ve NEVER EVER had such a bad experience from there EVER, 17 years!! I’m still in SHOCK!! Just the best! We come at least twice a year and every time it's the same, perfect! The original venue, which if you are looking from the boardwalk side, is on the left (two are right next to each other). We got the cheesesteaks with peppers and onions and of course the cheese balls. Some people like the Seaside Tony because they get cheese balls inside. You can't go wrong, but I typically like to put the cheese balls on myself in every bite, personal preference. Love the atmosphere for sure, but I also like the option to take my food to the beach picnic style on a nice day (this year it was cold).
