Was a overall experience 8/10. Me and my boyfriend traveled almost two hours down to get here. First we started off with the coconut mojitos was 100/100 absolutely amazing and they were strong but not too much that coconut real brings it together. We started off with the crab cake tots. They were 7/10 for taste but the crab cake was served kinda of cold but the tots were hot. My boyfriend proceeded to get the brisket Mac and cheese. Very disappointed I can’t even express how bad it was. The pasta was extremely undercooked and I mean it was chewy like it was sticking to our teeth. The brisket was also disappointing no flavor and came off rough. And for some reason the white cheese was mainly at the bottom?? Our waiter Patrick apologized after we told him and he took it off our bill and offered something else to try. We declined but we appreciate his kindness and service. We then go onto our entrees my boyfriend had the ribeye sandwich which he rates it a 8/10 very tender for a ribeye he says it melts in your mouth. Following with the sweet potato fries they were a 10/10!! I had gotten the lobster roll (my first one) and it exceeded my expectations! I would give it a 8/10 the only thing is it was smaller than expected but they give alot of lobster meat which I put some of my side Caesar salad which was amazing 10/10 across the board the sauce was different from any of the ones I’ve had before. I also had gotten some onion rings extra crispy. They were good a solid 9/10 can’t mess up onion rings am I right?! Overall a good experience I would say we would travel again for the entrees but the appetizers is a hard pass for us. Also recommend asking for Patrick he gave us bar recommendations and was honest about the menu with his favorites and not so favorites. We thank him again for his hospitality towards us!! Also forgot the live music was great played all the classics even though I’m a young...
Read moreI'm usually quite forgiving when it comes to my dining experiences. However, my recent visit to this 'highly recommended' restaurant left me more than a little dissatisfied. The bright spots of the evening were indeed few and far between. The live music and sports projector brought a bit of charm to the ambiance, and one of our party even managed to enjoy their meal. Yet, these were rare rays of light in an otherwise gloomy night. One significant setback involved a margarita. My friend, quite the margarita enthusiast, unfortunately, found hers to be unpalatable - so much so that the restaurant saw fit to remove it from our bill. It's never a good sign when a patron's complaint about a drink is resolved by not charging for it instead of making a better one. A peculiar aspect of our evening was the prom happening on the restaurant's second floor. While it's commendable that the establishment is versatile in its function, the decision to have an energetic event like a prom during dining hours raised eyebrows. The floor shaking with the rhythm of the dancing was not only distracting but a bit concerning too. It wasn't enough to ruin the evening, but it did cast an unnecessary cloud over our dinner. Finally, the service left a lot to be desired. We arrived early and were seated promptly, but the attention to our table was less than impressive. It took six minutes past our reservation time before we received any real service, a delay which came off as neglectful. I wish I could say that my experience at this restaurant was enjoyable, but I can't. The mishaps were simply too numerous to ignore. The combination of subpar service, questionable event management, and a disappointing cocktail is too much to overlook. It's safe to say I won't be returning anytime soon, and I'd hesitate to recommend this...
Read moreWhat we got (between 4 people) Shrimp Mac and Cheese Lobster Mac and Cheese Lobster bisque Lobster roll Crab tots Pretzel sticks Kids Mac and Cheese Virgin Piña colada
It took us 4ish minutes of standing out front for someone to notice and seat us despite being not busy.
Unfortunately, we had a pretty bad experience here. I'll start by saying our waitress was nice. Once we started eating she kinda disappeared but I won't hold that against her because she mentioned she was new.
The only good dish was the shrimp Mac and cheese and the pretzel sticks. No complaints there. The crabcake tots were pretty good but not quite what I expected them to be, I likely just misread the menu though.
The lobster Mac and cheese was devoid of much flavor at all and needed a lot of salt. It also wasn't particularly cheesy. Similar with the kids Mac and cheese, the person who had it said it didn't really even taste like Mac and cheese. The lobster roll came out soggy and the fries were room temp and overcooked or something (they were kinda rubbery, not crunchy like if they'd been fried too long so not sure what the deal was). The lobster bisque didn't have any lobster in it, but otherwise tasted okay. The virgin Pina colada just tasted like frozen orange juice with a whisper of coconut if you even tasted it at all.
Overall very disappointing experience. Not worth the price for the quality of the food we received. Don't know if they were just having an off day considering other reviews being positive, but sadly we did not...
