Parking is horrible. Their parking lot is too small and does not accommodate every person. Got a parking ticket because we had no room to park in their lot. Asked about it at the office, they told us it was our problem and we should have asked them to help us find a parking spot. After being extremely rude, they offered us a parking spot in the back lot of their neighboring hotel. (Skyview Motel). When we went to park there, we find that they had also instructed TWO other people to park in the same single spot. Back at square one. Nowhere to park. Then we go back to tell them we still have nowhere to park and they literally tell us to park on the SIDEWALK... after ten minutes of sitting there in a full parking lot trying to figure out where we can park without getting another ticket, they finally found a spot for us. They lead us to the spot and then rudely said, "are you happy now? "
Hotel rooms are also small and outdated. They also accidentally tried to give someone else our room while we were still in it... The guy walked right in while we were all sitting in bed! Owners are completely disorganized. It is an utter circus here. The first day we arrived, the room next to us had a toilet overflow and flood nearly the whole room. They moved the guests to another room and rented the same room out again to new people in only a few hours. Around midnight, there was a woman pounding angrily on the office door, screaming that she wanted her money back. Screaming about her room being gross and bugs in her room biting her. Personally didn't have any bugs that bite in our room, but there was a LOT of fruit flies and the room smelled a little funny until the air conditioner...
Read moreMy partner and I brought our six year old autistic son (who absolutely loves to swim) to this hotel, and they were very accomodating.
Our little one was a little out of sorts when we got there and we informed the owner that our child was on the spectrum and he was EXTREMELY understanding and didn’t even mind that our room was so close to the main office, because it was by the pool. They also kept the pool open for us late on the first night.
There are no elevators in this hotel, and there not a stopper on the door which would have prevented our son from opening it constantly. They also didn’t have cable tv and the layout of the rooms was really inconvenient.
That being said, for the price of the rooms, excluding these amenities was definetly not a deal breaker for us. Who watches cable TV anyway?
Very short walk to seaside heights boardwalk and beach, there is a pizza shop one block down and a breakfast joint one block away.
The pool is really big, unlike the pools that are typical of seaside heights hotels that are the size of a parking space. This one is the size of a parking lot! It goes up to 8 feet and marker to seperate the deep and and shallow end. There is also a 2 foot kiddie pool attached do the big pool. There is umbrella and chairs all around the pool.
We have been trying different hotels in seaside heights for a while trying to find one that could accomodate what is important to us for an affordable price and we found it!
Well definetly be going back to the Seagem a...
Read moreShunned when I walked in, not knowing the staff lived there… walked in the door and was directed right back out to the property next door, the guy there was a least a little nicer . The motel though? Absolutely not! The ceiling was leaking, I rented a one bedroom apartment for the weekend and it was barely manageable. The layout was good, pretty spacious but there was only one tv with MAYBE ten channels available- you can hear people above you, my experience was awful- sounded like they were coming through the ceiling- the ceiling leaked above the sink… there were so many things patched in the walls and ceiling… I was afraid the room was going to collapse- the mattresses were old and bigger than the box springs- shower had stains everywhere and had a huge dip from the back of the tub to the front (felt like you were falling forward)- they don’t offer pots and pans for the stove provided (and don’t let you know ahead of time)-the microwave buttons didn’t work properly- The lighting is from the 1900s and not adequate for the actual space in the room, there were bulbs out in two fixtures as well. The couch was broken, and so low to the floor. We turned in our towels and never seen the staff member again- had to walk around for the other motel and ask for new towels. The parking lot is not only super small, it’s lumpy… barely any truly flat surface… felt like off roading honestly. The only good things I can honestly say is the distance from...
