Luggage Storage -⚠️WARNING!! First off I want to say the Purple store luggage storage is in a convenient location, clean, secure and a good place to use while touring Seattle. With that said, I'm VERY disappointed after doing my research before hand on the cost and using their services.
Although the staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager was not!!! Both our check in and check out times happened to be exactly one minute before the hour and one minute after, this causing them to charge me an entire extra hour on both ends!! For not just 1 stored bag but 11 bags in total!!!!
Upon inquiring about the over charge, the manger was very rude and short with me. Not even allowing me to ask questions. Her reply was "That's what the computer does, nothing I can do about it." This policy was NOT stated on their website or posted anywhere in the store. If I was aware of this added charge I would have made every effort to avoid the one minute over charge.
It’s unfortunate to have a great location to secure your luggage with terrible policy’s and rude management! If you use this location I strongly recommend you watch the...
Read moreI love the store, it's content, and have done pick-up work there on and off since Adam was working out of his apartment. As with any dispute over money, there are at least three sides, and it can't be litigated with bumper stickers.
I also worked on occasion with the ex-employees, and know the back story. I have seen them "work" and entirely understand why they were fired. I only half-understand why Adam waited so long. Nobody likes being the bad guy.
In retaliation, a group of so called "anti-capitalist anarchists" have been mobbing this tiny business. The Purple Store is not some mega corporation. They're sure "sticking it to the man" though. No doubt Amazon is quaking in it's boots.
The attacks against the store, Adam, and his character have made me question not only my lefty politics, but my faith in the central goodness of people. This is an issue for the courts, not a screaming mob.
In spite of this, the store is still open, welcoming, and has everything purple. Even on a bad day, Adam will treat you well, and help you meet your...
Read moreIf you know me for more than 5 minutes, you'd know my favorite color is purple. On a visit to Seattle I've decided to make a trip to this store. I've purchased from their online store before, but figure it'd be a whole different experience shopping in person. It did not disappoint! I was greeted with "welcome home" as I entered the store to a sea of purple. They curated all sorts of stuff from clothing to kitchen items to anything else you didn't know come in purple. I ended up visiting the store 3 times during my 4-day trip, there was just so much to see! The folks who work here are very pleasant to chat with, they are probably used to crazy purple people who go "my preciousss...." and drooling all over their merchandise. This ended up being the highlight of my trip, beating out the concert I came here to see and all other touristy attractions. Will definitely come back if I'm ever in the...
