I couldn't be more happy that we stumbled upon this local treasure of a place. My partner and I passed this gallery a few times as it was near the hotel we were staying in and we thought the stone sculptures looked really interesting so we decided to stop in one afternoon. We were greeted by the most warm and friendly person, Gail. She provided us some backstory on the gallery and the artist before encouraging us to look around, touch the art, and to take as many photos as we liked. I was astonished by the fact that regardless of what piece I pointed out, Gail knew the details surrounding the medium used for the piece. To say that this spot is one-of-a-kind seems an inadequate description for such a special place. The craftsmanship that goes into each piece is truly an experience in itself. This gallery should be on every 'must-see' list for Seattle. I left the store with a feeling of awe as well as regret for not picking out a treasure so I returned the next day to buy a gorgeous little humpback whale to take home with me as a reminder of my love for the coast and such a memorable trip. I plan to purchase a small undermount light, similar to what they displayed in the shop, to illuminate the stone to appear as if the whale is ascending within the depths of the sea. If you are in the Seattle area, this shop is a must see. I already look forward to finding future pieces to add to my collection. P.S. Be sure to ask Gail how many pieces she has in her collection as it is ever-growing ;)

This by far is the most beautiful art gallery I have ever been to in my entire life. The sculptures they have here are all done by Kathy’s *store manager* Father who’s been sculpting in Seattle for over 20+ years!! The sculptures you’ll find in this store are absolutely stunning. And the experience you’ll have while enjoying your self and looking around while either Kathy or Maddie assist you I guarantee you won’t meet any one as nice as these two gals who will help you find that perfect piece of art that you just can’t live with out! Take the time and go check them out you won’t regret it chances are you’ll find a sculpture that really resonates with you that you’ll take home and cherish for the rest of your life! I know I have and will! I have all ready purchased one sculpture from here and I have 5 more that I’m also picking up cause of the amazing customer service I received but also because I can’t live with out these beautiful works of of art in my life so I can share my passion of art with the world through the lovely sculptures that I couldn’t find any where else but right here at, “Fossil & Stone Fine Art Gallery”. Below I shared how my experience went along with some photos of the sculpture I found and loved with all my heart and is now on its way to Arizona along side 5 others here in the near future! Check my next post for even more detail!!

I live right above this store and me and my husband we decided to stop by. The arts that displayed there all are handmade and unique. You will not get same piece anywhere in the world. The crafts are very elegant and can blend in any interior. My most favorite pieces are with otters and polar bears, it represents so well PNW. We end up buying small piece and we are already thinking about buying other piece for our apartment. You get a certificate and you can also name your otters & bears...I highly recommend this store, you will not be disappointed. Also we happened to meet Eddies (owner) daughter and she explained us a lot about art and craftsmanship. Eddie works with selenite and many sculptors don't have enough experience to work with such a material because it's very fragile. He also uses buffalo horns, ivory, fluorite and many other beautiful materials like crystals..

I was staying very close to your store. 2 times I must have had a green light and didn't stop. 3rd time was the charm. Waiting at the light I couldn't help but notice the cool stuff in the windows. Parked car, but went right to store. Fantastic work on display. A megalodon tooth on display caught my attention first. 1400 bucks or so. Then a nautilus fossil caught my eye. Much cooler than the megalodon tooth to me. I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I was stunned the price was just under 400 bucks! I thought it was likely well over 2 grand! THIS IS THE COOLEST STORE/GALLERY I HAVE EVER SEEN! Unlike any store I have ever seen. Beautiful works of art here. My new fossil is right in front of me as I right this review. Next year at this time, I will probably be back in Seattle. I will make sure I have more funds available for the next time I am there. I am sure I will see something really cool that might be a tad more expensive. Gotta be prepared! And the woman working the front desk at the hotel said she avoids the place on payday! She doesn't want to spend her check so fast! Simply put, this place has some brilliant works of art. I won't be purchasing the 70k dollar Cave Bear skeleton on display, but I can't believe I got a beautiful fossil for...
