JCPenney — Local services in South Burlington

My girlfriend was looking for a coffee maker to replace one that is several years old. While at the store she was shopping in the home department and looking at the items available. There were no displays available to look at, after finding one she liked she asked a nearby associate if she could open it to look at the maker before purchasing. The associate told her she could open it after she paid for it. And provided no more assistance. She then left the store to check other retailers in the area. I am writing this review as she was not willing to, however i was a manager at this store approximately 15 years ago, and managed this very department as well as 3 others. To hear that the customer service at this location has fallen this far is incredibly disappointing, as when I had been there our associates were trained to never let a customer leave our store disappointed, and we all prided ourselves on our customer experience. We just happened to walk through this entrance to get into the university mall. We were on a mission to get to one of the jewelry stores to look at mens wedding bands. My fiance wandered over to the jewelry counter on his way by and saw some styles that he liked. Immediately Jean, a jewelry associate asked if she could help us. She found his correct size, and she explained to us the difference with a comfort fit, and a standard fit. They had the ring he wanted in his correct size, in stock! He also asked about options for myself to match his band, and she gave me tons of different options, and I fell in love with one of the bridal sets that seemed to be way out of our price range. Since they were running sales on jewelry and the additional 35% off if you use your JCP card, I was pleasantly surprised with the price. They aren't organized like berlin mall location when it comes to packages!!!Bought something from jcpenney last tuesday included paying for it to already; and shipped last Wednesday; as to September but strap came unsewn after started to use a week later; (not the same week that I got it from berlin mall)that is why I took the purses to a different jcpenney due to no floral; went to jcpenney today; customer service rep tried because they stated it was due today and they are unloading and be back in 10 if not half an hour; then went to one store in a mall and walked around; then went back and waited patiently because the service rep had a customer; then walked to a different store; they stated don't be back until 1pm but took a longer way to the store and due to walking back and had to relook at the order# information on their screen; and speechless as to clueless where the...
