Undoubtably the most deceitful experiences Iâve ever had with a jeweler or any professional for that matter. On week of September 5th, we visited Anna to discuss resetting the opal of 4th generation family heirloom that was not my correct band size and the band was a bit out dated for my liking. At this meeting, after an initial email inquiry on the possibility of this request, I was assured that it was something that could be done in likely 4-6 weeks. During this meeting Ann mentioned how the designer of the ring style I did like was a good friend of theirs who is local to Boston, MA. She went on to tell us that the designers studio is in the heart of the historic district and that they loved spending weekends there with him. I was lead to believe that this would be were the ring would being worked on if the setting was not already available to place the stone in. When I returned weeks later to put more money towards the ring and to get an update, I was told by Anna that the designer had requested to set the stone himself in his studio due to the softness of the stone and the potential of it breaking, he wanted to be sure to handle it with care. Fast forward to now even more weeks after dropping the ring off, there has not been an update on the status of the resetting - Iâve called and left a voice mail and even sent an email. In addition to wondering what was going on I just wanted to be sure that I would be getting the original band back. In an email reply I was assured that the original band would be returned with the stone after it was reset. Another week passes and our ceremony on October 17th of which Ann assured me the designer was aware of is now two weeks away, and we are told that itâs complete but the hold up was international shipping. A bit confused by this as it had not at any other point been mentioned to either myself or partner that the ring would be leaving the USA, but decided to trust that is could have been a misstatement, as she had previously mentioned the studio was in Boston. It has now been 3 weeks since our ceremony. Ann called to say it would be a longer wait because the ring was in INDIA and once itâs in the designers hands it âout of her controlâ. At no point during any of the communications we had with Anna did she mention sending ring outside of the US to be worked on. This was never something I had been informed of. I was lead to believe that it would be worked on in New England and ready for our wedding. Now I am left to wonder and live in fear that my heirloom will not be returned to me. It took Anna 9 weeks to tell us the truth and the ring is still sitting in INDIA, not complete and on its way back to us from BOSTON as she had lead us to believe in a prior communications. I would have NEVER left this heirloom in their care had I of known that I would be lied to for weeks on end. Had I known that it wouldnât be staying here in the US I would have gone LITERALLY anywhere else. My wedding has been tainted and my ONLY family heirloom is now over seas who knows what is actually happening to it and who knows when I will ever see it again. Will I even get my original opal back? Will it be another 9 weeks? Will I get a full refund of the $400+ in cash that has been put down? I have no reason to trust that any of the right things will happen here as I have been lied to every step of the way. One of the happiest times of my life has been completely and utterly distorted and tainted by the carelessness and deceitful nature of Anna during this entire experience. To say that I am hurt is an understatement. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, in hopes to save another person from living this nightmare. Itâs just ironic that Anna suggested to overnight ship the ring to us, less than 20 miles for their studio in Burlington, once it was makes it back here to âavoid any confrontationâ. She knows that she has lied to us, she knows that she has done wrong, but the best she can do is overnight it to us and âcreditâ us. I want my ring and I want a cash refund. I will never recommend...
Read moreMy wife and I went in for our anniversary, well a couple days before our 8th year! My wife had lost her wedding band but I had mine which was white gold!! So we matched it with another white gold diamond wedding band!! Also we had picked out a ring for myself!! So after $1,100 was spent and all three rings needed to be sized down! My new wedding band was secretly supposed to have BUNCHES 9-1-12 engraved in the As well as my old ring, that was supposed to be my original wedding right was supposed to be engraved with BANANAS 9-1-12! All our 7 kids and me and my wife have always said love you...the other person says Bunches and the last one says Of Bananas since we got together about 9 yrs ago!! My wife got my old wedding ring that had bunches 9-1-12 scratched like a child did it with a nail and it was redicolus and really ruined that moment that we can never get back plus the most important one of all the only wedding band we had left wasnât even sized! Also and the most important one was my wifeâs new ring that wasnât sized and when they took it back to resize it it came back YELLO GOLD!! And with a white gold wedding band next to it and my new titanium you can very clearly see that it is yello! So as we waited for the only wedding ring that we had left from out wedding got sent out to get mealted and engraved with BUNCHES 9-1-12!! So wrong size wrong engravings all around including me that was like nothing we had or could find anywhere else in person or online!! When my wife called and asked if that ring was ready yet 14 days later and complain about the yellow gold one she was convinced that the right we got was white gold and that she was wrong!! Also the engraving should have been on each others rings!! Idk we spent a lot of money and I wanted this to be a very special anniversary and things got worse and worse!! Not happy at all and my wife is devistated that she is suppose to fall in love with our wedding band that are all wrong and too big and not the right gold!! So Iâm doing a review now but going in there very short to...
Read moreI originally bought my engagement ring from Anna. Even though the jeweler broke my green tourmaline stone for my engagement band and replaced it, we still enjoyed the designs and feel of the boutique. When my fiance and I went to get our wedding bands we were excited. We ended up purchasing 3 rings. 1 was too small for my finger and the other was ordered in a 8.5 and we got a 7.5 so another was too small. I went back the next day to get it resized and they said it would take 2 hours. I said no and that the day before they told me it would be the first the jeweler did. Fast forward 1 hour. Came back and they ended up cutting open the band and saying the want to cut my engagement ring to drop it in. Hell no!!! Anna called me the next day saying that they should have just made a more basic and simple method of fixing the ring instead of hacking them up and making it complicated. I ended up saying no to the wedding band because of the negative feelings I had with the experience. I went back to pick up my other ring and to give them another chance at my business to look for another ring when she said I offended her over the phone and that they wanted me to be happy with my single tungsten ring and leave. She said to look online at Amazon, ebay, and other sights and that nothing would work for me in her store. Big mistake. I try to be nice and give them another chance and they decided to not only ruin my wedding ceremony in less than a week, but make me out to be the bad guy while scrambling to look for another ring at another store. I'm never going there again. This was supposed to be the happiest experience but ended up being a nightmare. Beware special orders and sizing, otherwise your experience will...
