Two Nights of Torture - Horrible Stay
My recent stay at this hotel was a complete nightmare. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that most of the furnishings looked like they were picked up for free from the street or the neighborhood. The placement of the furniture was illogical, with a table blocking the A/C unit. As soon as we turned it on, it would shut off, leaving us suffocating both nights.
The bed was another torture box—bigger than the frame, with the topper hanging off the edges, looking like it was picked up from the street. The bathroom mirror was broken, and the vanity light had mismatched bulbs of different colors. There was no coffee machine in the room, and we had to use our own toilet paper. Spider webs were everywhere, and the furniture was covered in dings and holes. The carpet was so filthy that we didn't want to walk on it.
The lady who runs the hotel is incredibly rude and lacks basic etiquette to deal with customers. She clearly cannot manage the property. The office was always closed when we needed assistance, and when we did manage to speak with her, she acted like she didn't understand us. We asked for housekeeping, and all she did was pick up the trash. The bed remained unmade, wet towels were left on the chair and bed, and there was no replenishment of toilet paper or toiletries.
At 4 AM, people were talking loudly in the parking lot for hours, smoking weed, and disturbing our sleep. No action was taken. It's clear that she is trying to run a one-man show but is completely failing, which is reflected in her frustration and very rude behavior. The office itself was filthy and dirty, with so much stuff and webs everywhere.
This hotel is a disaster. My advice is to hire someone to handle the basic ground jobs because the current management is utterly incompetent. Avoid this place...
Read moreThe room, including carpet, furniture, walls, were filthy. The thrift store furniture was scratched. Filthy blinds didn’t shut out light. No curtains. Torn and stained lampshades, one lamp nonfunctional. Broken shelves and dangling door latch in bathroom. Mold in shower, loose toilet. Bed was way too soft that caused severe back pain. A/C extremely loud and not working properly. I slept for only two hours because of all of this. Owner told me not to flush TP down the and to put it in the open basket waste receptacle, even with poop on it! The blanket smelled of mildew which the owner replaced w another smelly blanket, then a third that was okay. She said sarcastically “Be careful the coffee might give you diarrhea.” This was after I asked for a refund. She also said she was very rich and had 4 motels. I suggested she spend some of her money fixing this one up. She was rude from the time we arrived. Her office had a filthy fish bowl in it, her reception desk was covered and stacked high w papers and unopened mail and the office smelled like a pet store. The photos (and reviews) she has posted online are from years ago when somebody else owned it. I mentioned that to her and she said “well you know how photos can be”. I asked for a refund and she refused it. We only stayed one night even though we paid for two. I told my credit card company about her misrepresentation and...
Read moreThis was such a lovely little place! I would suggest it to anyone on a budget that does not want to stay in a fancy place. At first I was a little nervous but it was a delightful stay. It is fairly small, but cozy. The lady who ran it was very sweet, very helpful. She is very customer oriented! We we're in room 24, the bed was great and the tub was large. It comes with a microwave, mini fridge, and large tv. In the bathroom there is a closet. The room was cozy, the blankets were soft, and everything seemed very clean. My only very minor suggestion would be curtains for the windows as the blinds still let in some light. It is a motel so there wasn't breakfast, but there are places to eat near by. It is just a block away from some great food place and some great shopping. We walked to Starbucks and then to heavenly village (where there was live music). There are so many restaurants and shops in that large building. It was just a 5 minute drive to the beach, very dog friendly beach. The lady in the office gave us a day pass for another beach, which is a pay to get in one. The lake is just beautiful, although it is a little chilly. The pictures are from the beach just 5 minutes away where you can grill and take your dog. We came here to...
