I’ve visited this store several times over the years, and while the experience was never particularly remarkable, it was always fine—until today. I walked in with my boyfriend, who is a person of color, and we were the only customers in the store. We received no greeting—only cold stares. As we browsed politely, we noticed the two women working whispering to each other while watching us closely, creating an atmosphere that felt suspicious and unwelcoming.
What made the situation even more blatant was when a group of white (or white-passing) shoppers walked in shortly after. They were immediately greeted warmly and offered assistance—none of the coldness or scrutiny we experienced. The contrast was undeniable and deeply disappointing.
I had intended to purchase a ring I’d been considering for some time, but after such an uncomfortable and frankly discriminatory experience, I will not be giving this business my money. It’s clear that not all patrons are treated equally here.
If you’re shopping for jewelry in the South Lake area and value respectful, inclusive service, I recommend taking your business elsewhere. No one should have to question whether they’re being profiled when simply...
Read moreIn the beginning of April my now husband and I decided to elope just the two of us. We were unable to find wedding bands locally that didn't need to be sized and would be available that day. I was able to find a beautiful simple band and so did my husband. Unfortunately mine needed to be sized but the amazing staff there said she would drive it herself to the jeweler that night and it would be ready the next morning. I am more than satisfied with their customer service and will definitely be back to have my custome ring made to match my band. Thank you so much for helping make our...
Read moreIt's a cute little jeweler in Heavenly. I was on my honeymoon, having a double date with a married friend whose birthday we were celebrating. We stopped in while awaiting a table at Base Camp Pizza (fantastic too btw) and looked around. The glittering jewels were of great quality, so I expected to be pained by the price tags. Not at all! My husband recently discovered he was allergic to the metal in his ring, so we looked in the men's section. With help from the owner's daughter, we found a perfect one. The price? $110 for Tungsten. He works in construction, so it'll hold up and he loves it. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a great deal in Lake Tahoe, tucked near so many other...
