Well the location is great and we had a very easy check in but unfortunately our experience staying here wasn't great. I waited a few days before writing the review as to not be upset when I would share our experience. We arrived right at check in 3pm and noticed the parking lot was empty except for a construction truck in the parking lot. As we parked the truck was leaving no big deal we thought. Check in was a breeze and we went to our room. Room was clean, simple and and had a large refrigerator, dishes, toaster, utensils which was a plus for making some quick and easy things for the kiddos so that was convenient. A few outlets didnt work in the room so charging all of our devices at times was a bit challenging but not a big deal. To the main reason of our review upon checking we weren't notified of any upcoming construction or maintenance that would be happening during our stay. We weren't notified of potential construction when we booked or sent a courtesy email of upcoming work to be done before our stay. So when we arrived and the construction truck left we thought nothing of it. Until the next morning at about 645am we hear the truck pull up and from then on non stop banging and work being done upstairs. This was upsetting as having a busy fun filled day the day before we were expecting some nice rest the next morning. That lasted pretty much all morning and we left as soon as we all could get ready to head out and enjoy our vacation. The rest of our stay was on the weekend so no construction was being done. I think a simple courtesy email would've been great and we could've been prepared to leave a bit earlier in our day. Not sure what rooms have the Jacuzzi tubs but ours didn't. And the bathrooms were very small with the toilet literally right next to the wall which didn't make for any space which I thought was weird. Pricing of the rooms were reasonable but I would definitely checkout another place before...
Read moreThis hotel should be listed as a 2-star, not 3-star hotel on Google. I've stayed at other 2-star hotels in the vicinity that were great for the price/location, but this hotel was a lot worse than I expected.
I think the only good thing about this place was the location & the fact that there was a little kitchen, but the other basics were disappointing. The beds/blankets weren't comfortable or warm, the TV wasn't working, the heater wasn't working, and the hair dryer in the bathroom was broken.
The hotel requires a $150 deposit upon checkin, which you'd get back if the room was not damaged (which I'm not sure how they measure this since the rooms aren't fixed up properly in the first place). The way they went about taking the deposit felt sketchy too, so I got the desk clerk, Karina's signature confirming that I made a deposit. In the room there is signage about paying for stained towels (which again, I question how they measure this since it's not like they do invidual room loads & can determine which room a stained towel came from). Checkout was easy, you just drop off the key in a box. And when I was doing that, I saw more signage for fees if anything happened, like losing your keys.
This hotel does not live up to its name lol I definitely wouldn't come back. There are other 2-stars like Bluelake which offer great customer service, ensure the basics, and don't try to charge you for just...
Read moreThe hotel is probably fine as far as less-expensive lodging in this area goes. However, nowhere on any site I looked up reservations (including their own) did it disclose that they were under construction. That meant that, starting at 9am each morning, I had the pleasure of being awakened to a buzzsaw. I also had housekeeping walk in on me two days in a row (in spite of a Do Not Disturb sign), the front desk blowing up my phone every 15 minutes starting at 10am to find out when I would be leaving, when it was arranged the night before that I would check out of that room at noon. Forget that I was on the phone with my employer, when I told them this the response was, “Well, we needed to know so we could clean your room.” No, you don’t, not unless I’m late checking out. But good luck getting in touch with them if you have any questions or concerns—the multiple calls and messages I left regarding my refundable deposit that was never refunded have yet to get a response. And since I didn’t leave my room in poor shape, I’m going to assume that “refundable” deposit is just an extra $150 they decided to keep. Meaning this hotel isn’t as budget-friendly as it seems. Definitely one to avoid. I would’ve had better experience at...
