There were exactly two good things about this place. It's proximity to Heavenly village, and price (but next time I'll rather pay little more to stay somewhere else). I can sleep pretty much anywhere and I not mind simple hotels - if they are clean and maintained. This place is neither. Carpets are dirty, bathroom window ledge was ... well, the best word for it is disgusting - I wiped it one day with the white towel, which became black. Ewww!
The room layout is weird, especially bathroom - the shower door opens from the wall, so you cannot just open and walk in (difficult to explain, best to see - but I would not recommend that to anyone). Shower door did not close completely, and bathroom has some amateurish fixes. The mini fridge stinks.
It was extremely loud during my stay - I don't know if they decided to remodel or shut the place down (I kinda hope for the latter), but it was really uncomfortable.
The last straw was when I got back to the hotel on Friday afternoon (my room was paid till Saturday), and I found my room door wide open and the room empty. When I asked the guy at the front desk, he tried to convince me that I was supposed to leave on Friday. When he checked again, he found out he made a mistake - but he didn't even apologize. I understand that mistakes happen, but they didn't even try to call me to check what is going on. In the end they found my stuff mixed together with some other guy's dirty clothes in the trash bag (fortunately I didn't leave anything expensive in the room). I returned my key and left immediately (even though the guy at the front desk offered me that I could stay for one more night - of course I could have, since I already paid for it, but he said it in a way that he was doing me a favor).
I wouldn't dare trying their free continental breakfast, and their "high speed internet" reminded me of the ancient ages of internet, when we used to connect using dial-up and having speed around 5kB/s. I gave up on that and connected using my phone instead.
Please, stay away from this place. It is horrible, hasn't seen any maintenance for years, and pretty gross (it's probably not surprising that it doesn't look like the photos here at all). Without a doubt the worst place I've...
Read moreChecking took more than 30mins, needs better customer service & faster check in. Will also like more privacy & not feel like I’m being watched for every move I do. I had family from Lake Tahoe & Carson visiting that didn’t feel comfortable visiting due to no privacy. My family & one of my friends from Carson even booked a separate reservation to avoid me getting overcharged or kicked out. Barely stayed at the hotel since it was only for sleeping & showering. I did had a bad feeling when I called few days back before arriving to LT since the front desk lady told me if I don’t like it to go somewhere else. My other friend who check in before I did, told me that the front desk lady asked her if she was me. When my friend said no, front desk lady mentioned that I asked a lot of questions & I was annoying. When all I did was asked one simple question about parking few days ago. At the Agoda app they never responded back either. As a courtesy I notify the front desk at check in that I’ll be having visitors since we decided to meet & walk together.
Room: There was some hair on our pillows, the table next to the TV & the table between the beds were really dusty. I wiped everything with wipes. Had to asked for toilet paper since ours was almost at the end of finishing when we had barely arrived. No pool , No AC but the fan did it’s work & we left the windows open. FYI Don’t leave your windows close at all because you will come back to a sauna room like we did in one of our days.
It was last minute reservation & busy week that prices went up so we just stayed since we couldn’t get our refund. Plus it was near a lot of places, free parking & it was walking distance too. The hotel gave us free vouchers (Ppl in the reservation) for the private beach that is walking distance. Also gave us permission to leave our vehicles park until 3pm, even thou we had already check out. “Our reservation was July 8-10.”
At the end, check out was fast but will be booking somewhere else instead were I get treated better. I can barely understand the front desk when she spoke English over the phone & in person. I travel from far away (Fresno) & all I wanted was a fast check in like one of the other customers who check in, in...
Read moreWould love to give zero stars. I would say this was one of my worst experiences ever and one of the most disgusting rooms I have ever seen. From the outside, the place looks like it hasn't been updated in 30 years. The hot tub is not in working condition so definitely don't plan on going to it after skiing. Next, after we received our keys from the front desk we made our way to our room and the door was wide open. Never figured out why, but after reading other posts it could have been that they were fumigating for bed bugs. After taking a look around the room, there was a blood stain on the lamp shade, stains on the towels and shower curtain (blood again), hairs all over the place, and the mattress had a giant pee stain on it. The floor boards were falling off probably due to termites. The room has the feel similar to what you see in movies where people stay in hotel rooms purely for criminal activity. It was a horrifying experience.
We promptly grabbed our stuff and loaded up the car. When I returned the key to the front desk and told them we were leaving, they asked why. I listed off all of the reasons above and they couldn't have cared less. Almost like they were expecting people to complain. At $80 a night its certainly not worth it. If it was free I wouldn't even stay here.
Please do not book this place even if it appears to have a good location. It should be condemned. My post is meant to be detailed so that you don't make the same...
