Recently reopened after six months clothes, with new management (hence the lack of reviews). Rock solid choice on the main strip with a hole-in-the-wall feel but a good amount of seating. We 2 people) came in at 6pm on Saturday of President’s Day weekend, when every other place had a 20+ min wait, and were seated immediately. The selection is a bit limited, both in beer and food, but the choices are solid and should cover most tastes. Service was pretty quick, although they definitely were pushing their limits. Everyone was super friendly though. Tables aren’t assigned, so we ended up getting service from everyone on duty at some point in the night, and they were all very friendly and attentive, especially considering the busy night. The live music wasn’t too loud, and pretty chill. It was mostly classic (60’s/early 70’s) rock and some country. Food was a winner. The wings were some of the best either of us have ever had. Not sure how they make them, but they’re awesome. We ordered them straight, so there was no sauce (just the way I like them). The darker bbq sauce on the table was *amazing* with them. The second order was the beef ribs, and it was a winner with a weird miss. The ribs were great (again, dry rub, no sauce), but had a few cold spots for some reason. I’ve never gotten ribs with cold spots, especially not when they’re sizzling hot on the outside. I wonder whether they smoke them, throw them in the fridge, and then heat them up in the oven. Either way, the ribs were full of flavor, delicious, and great with the sauce we used on the wings. Sides were cool, but nothing to write home about. I wasn’t a fan of the slaw, but I don’t like apples. If you’re an apple slaw fan, you’ll be very happy. The fries were solid, and made a great base for more of that killer bbq sauce. We both had a Pilsner on tap, so I can’t speak to the mixed drinks, but this is a bbq joint. Drink beer. Don’t overthink it. The tap selection is relatively, but solid, and you’re very likely to find something you like unless you’re obsessed with wheat beers (there aren’t any here). All in all, a winner, at prices that match or beat anything you’re likely to find in tourist central. 100% would do it again, just for the wings and bbq sauce.

We came here a few years ago when it was under a different management and it was delicious. We were so excited to come back after we ordered. We found out it was under new management. Ordered the chicken Caesar salad and smoke samplers. The chicken was extremely dry on the Caesar salad. And all the meats on the sampler were dry, The tri-tip was so dry. It was like rubber I couldn’t even chew it. The chicken was very dry and it had no flavor. Also, the ribs were dry, but I can’t say one of the best things on the menu is the jalapeño poppers.( Tavon Twinkies) we were extremely disappointed with this experience

No this gem of a place is NOT closed! Yes, they are under new management since November 2023. And thankfully they are totally dialed in with some of the most delicious BBQ we have ever enjoyed - smoked & slow cooked right on the premises. We had the full rack of baby back pork ribs - which could have served 3 hungry adults - and also demolished the beef ribs. Don’t wait to get over there!

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience today out in the patio area.

  1. Do not order the 2 Shrimp Skewer entree. Over priced for Shrimps served were bland, cold, and over cooked.
  2. Service provided was very poor while the family next to us were checked on periodically. We were the first or second customers for their start of the day and to experience such service was very disappointing. Our server never checked on us. After eating our family meals, I asked to speak to the server to discuss, but the Bartender came instead as there was no manager. I did share with him the my disappointment.

I did share with the Bartender that ths is a coaching and training opportunity on servicing...

We had 14 people and the woman behind the bar was great. Service was timely and the woman was very good.

I had the donner sampler. The tri-tip was overcooked and not very flavorful. The wings were cooked pretty good but flavor wad just ok. The ribs were also overcooked and the sauce wasn't very good. My wife had the tri-tip tacos with mixed veggies as a side. She said the tacos were ok but the mixed vegetables looked like the ones you microwave at home. She couldn't finish them.

Another person in our party had the pulled pork grilled cheese, which I had bite of. That was the best thing I had there.

If you want BBQ go somewhere else. Food just...
