Incredibly disappointing stay at the Highmark during the last weekend of July. The condo was dirty, the floors/carpets clearly had not been vacuumed and there was a sewage smell in the master bathroom. (We suspect the p-traps were all dry so we ran all the faucets to get rid of the smell which did help a little). The pool area was piled high with dirty towels and in complete disarray all weekend long. The front entry door was never completely closed compromising the security of the building. We were booked and paid for Friday, 7/29 check-in through Monday 8/1 check-out. On Sunday, 7/31 we returned from a late lunch downtown and discovered we were locked out of our room. We made several calls to the telephone number on the main desk (in the entry way) requesting help. The young man who arrived was able to get us into our room but couldn’t reset the room keys. There was apparently no one to assist us, as we had been told it was the weekend and the manager probably wouldn’t answer his phone. As a result, we were unable to leave the condo on our last night in town. The next morning, the young man at the front desk barely acknowledged us and did not offer, nor help us take our belongings from the condo out to the car with the luggage cart (which was a standard courtesy of the staff in the past). He didn’t acknowledge or offer an apology for the inconvenience of having been locked out of the condo or that our keys did not work on Sunday evening. He probably didn’t know as communication seems to be pretty poor within the management team now. The Highmark is a fairly expensive rental property, but it used to worth the expenditure given the personal service, quality of the staff, facilities and condo. Unfortunately, this is no...
Read moreWow, what a hotel and what service.||Our unit was incredible, very clean and well decorated. ||Service, from the front desk to the shuttle driver, great and great.||proximity to the lifts, they are about a 5 min walk to and from the ski valet. We took the shuttle up and walked back. They couldn't store our boots because of covid so we would bring our shoes with us each day, at the end of the day we would walk back in our shoes. Note: they did store our skis.||||Concierge was great. With covid they gave us excellent recommendations for dinner.||||The shuttle driver was awesome, the day we checked in, I had ordered groceries ahead time. Not only did he bring me be to Safeway he also helped with the groceries at at Safeway and when we got back to the hotel. ||||The only tiny recommendations I would make, hooks in the mudroom units for your ski jackets.||||Thank you Highmark for making my annual Family trip one of...
Read moreI have been coming to steamboat with mountain resorts for the last 20 years of my life. In fact I even am an owner with mountain resorts. I am extremely disappointed with the shuttle service. Waited 45 mins to get picked up for the mountain when they were “on loop” when we try and call they just say nah he’s on loop he’ll be there in 5 min. Then later we went to yoga and proceeded to wait outside in the cold for 14 minutes as the driver drives right past us and makes us walk to his location. I love steamboat and have always loved mountain resorts, we literally bought a place 10 years ago with them we love it so much, but I’m just so disappointed they would treat loyal customers/ owners so poorly, I can’t imagine how they’ll...
