I recently purchased a disposable rosin vape that had heavily leaked within the packaging. I did not expect much, but took the vape back hoping that I may receive a partial refund or otherwise. As luck would have it, Hannah (the acting manager for the Dublin location that day) was covering the front desk. I showed her the vape and within seconds she agreed that it was faulty, and that I had been sold a product that did not match the expectations one could reasonable have as a customer.
She quickly switched with another budtender to have them cover the desk, and met me at the sales counter to rectify the issue. She issued a full refund without any hesitation. She was also kind enough to check to see if they had the same product in-stock for me to purchase. It was in fact in stock, but the sales tax from the refund to the re-purchasing was off by around six dollars. I informed her that I did not have my debit card, or any hard cash, and would have to go home and come back with the difference to complete the transaction. Without missing a beat she said it would be no problem at all, classified my purchase as an online pre-order awaiting pickup, and included a klutch brand battery free of charge for the inconvenience of driving back and forth.
When I returned, she had the order pulled up and ready to go, and the transaction was completed in seconds. The rest of my time in the store was spent chatting with Hannah about her experiences in the industry, our shared understanding of the difficulties of the service and retail industries, and that she would soon be acting as the general manager of a Story Cannabis location that would be opening soon. Knowing that Hannah occupies a leadership role within the company, while maintaining a compassion for the customer paired with a quintessential professionalism, is an indication of this company have the proper priorities. I will gladly be returning again, and await the opening of the next location with great anticipation, specifically in light of the fact that it will be under Hannah's stead.
I do not have a direct corporate line for contact, but whoever is in a position of power and sway within Story should deeply consider further increasing the compensation that Hannah receives. The respect and rapport that I experienced was enough to consider a career change to work for her.

I purchased a pod that malfunctioned and caused my battery to explode. On my first visit back to the store, I made a new purchase while attempting to report the issue. The manager asked me to return with my receipt, product label, and damaged battery, saying he could help me then.
When I returned with everything requested, he refused to assist, stating they only handle āhairline cracks and/or leaks.ā He directed me to call the sole number printed on my product labelās packaging and even pointed to it with his finger, which lists itself asā the MMCP Toll Free Hotline.ā
I called that number, and the answering representative informed me they donāt handle refund processes at allācontradicting what the manager told me. They then suggested I file a complaint with the Division of Cannabis Control since the dispensary refused to help, and on top of that, misinformed me.Two trips to the storeāthe second with all requested documentation ā and turned away both times with uniquely conflicting information.
As a medical patient dealing with a legitimate safety concern, I expected better. The lack of accountability and misinformation is extremely disappointing. I hope management reevaluates how they handle product defects and safety issues going forward, because as it stands, theyāre not even sure what number to tell...
