I had a wonderful experience shopping at Bassett Furniture in Dublin, Ohio a few days ago. Victoria greeted my partner and I when we walked in, she asked us what we were looking for, and she led us to two possibilities immediately. The second possibility fit the bill, and Victoria was gracious and knowledgeable throughout the process of choosing that second possibility as a custom sofa. She answered all our questions without hesitation, and she listened to our concerns. Victoria offered options regarding issues we hadn't resolved. I was impressed with how professional she was, what a good eye she had, and how she gave us the space to make a decision. We had spent months looking at sofas online and in Lancaster, OH. During that time, we figured out what we wanted, and what we didn't want. When we entered Bassett, we didn't expect to find exactly what we were looking for; rather, we were hoping to estimate the dimensions and the texture we were looking for and verify the comfort of the dimensions and texture. We wanted to figure out what we would find acceptable. What surprised us is that with Victoria's help we found exactly what we had been looking for. It felt good, it looked good, and because of the Labor Day sale, we could afford it. Victoria helped us refine our goal by suggesting we sit in different sofas that had, for instance, one inch less seat depth, or one inch less seat height than the one we had found. This allowed us to feel the difference that otherwise we might have discovered only after getting the sofa in our house and using it for a while. Victoria was brilliant in leading us to explore and refine our sense of comfort. I am thrilled that our sofa is now under construction and we don't have to look anymore or "settle" for something less. Im reviewing the Bassett store experience, in Dublin, Ohio. First of all, my primary contact was Jason, a Designer who is warmly accommodating, very quick on the uptake, and very knowledgeable. When Jason was busy, Mike, Senior Designer/ Store Manager, was also super creative, insightful and very knowledgeable about my project and my goals. They were both thoughtful, and truly concerned about my defined style and how to achieve it. They each VERY patiently (as I was in there 3 days in a row changing options!) fielded my questions, and presented other options as I decided on a custom-designed sectional. They were educators about fabric styles and design; fabric wear and durability; room dimensions and layout options (custom furniture floor plan included!); comfort options; and accessories. No matter when I visited or called, they were each warm, casual, and humorously welcoming, too. The no-pressure hallmark of Bassett's style and Designer professionalism eased my buying stress considerably. If you’re looking for quality furniture at an affordable price and excellent customer service, this is the place for you. My husband and I stopped in to Bassett after visiting 10+ other furniture stores and the costumer service sold us right away. Jason Townley was beyond tentative to our every desire when it came to designing the furniture for our new build home. He was considerate of our budget, provided multiple layouts of living room designs after sending him our blueprints, and included fabrics with our decor in mind. What I liked most about Bassett was that they are a US based company with most of the furniture being made in North Caroline/Virginia. When shopping at other furniture stores who source from several brands, I felt like I didn’t really know the quality that I was paying for. Bassett is exactly what we were looking for and we will continue to shop with them for all our future furniture needs.
