We have been staying at this hotel for years over the New Year’s holiday and other times snowmobiling. Never had a problem and We stay at hotels weekly because of work and play. This is the first and only time I have written a review on any hotel (or any business) but this crossed the line. It took me this long to write it because I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing but I believe I am and others need to be warned. It’s kind of like sleep on it and maybe it won’t be that big of deal tomorrow however it was to me. Also, If the manager would have treated me nice (even if I didn’t get the outcome I wanted) when I called then we would have never said a word or wrote anything.Treat others like you’d like to be treated. I should have known last year though (December 2023 ) when we made reservations for the entire family to stay. Shortly after, we received a email from the hotel in regards to the rate signed by the manger including her “pronouns” That should have been a clue. We went and everything was pretty good except the slide in the pool was down but hey the kids could still swim that’s why we stay here. We had a good time and the staff was very nice. This year we called and made reservations as usual. Luckily, because of last year, my son in law was checking their web site and found the pool could be affected by construction. This was one hour after making reservations. The main reason we stay there every year is for the pool! Do you think they refunded our money back after one hour? Nope! They refused to give us our money back stating it was on their website that it was closed. We literally called and canceled within 1 hour of making reservations, 1 HOUR. I suspect we were treated like this because we don’t have purple hair or drive a Subaru but that’s only a guess. I know that I will never get my money back but venting might make me...

The property is newly remodeled and renovated and it definitely shows, although not all of the amenities are currently available for use (the swimming pool is still being built, the auto-purchase device in the grab n go area didn’t work, so we needed to pass through the reception for them to charge us). There is still no lock pads on the outside doors of the building like in other hilton properties, idk if this is due to the location being safe or just unfinished remodeling. The pros: Everything is new, the room, the gym (the hydro-massage bed is really good!), the dining area and the lobby Great breakfast! They still hadn’t launched their breakfast services all the way so during our stay it was complimentary. The food was really good! Really recommend to try them out especially when they launch their full menu. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Cons: For an unfinished hotel that is still in the trial stage, the price seemed a bit high (can blame it on the peak season dates). Due to the changes in ownership (previously the hotel wasn’t owned by Hilton) the staff is still not completely familiar with the Hilton honors, so we needed to prove them our eligibility for some of the benefits. Must say, they were friendly and understanding nonetheless.
Overall: Great stay, really convenient location and a nice property. After everything’s opens up (I believe on their website the est. date is sometime in October) this would be definitely a 5...
