5100 Vacation Club — Hotel in Wildwood

First off let me say if you have upcoming reservations for this establishment you need to CANCEL now! The owner is extremely rude and nasty. We paid an up-charge to check in early, when we arrived no one was at the property to check us in and when we tried to call the number the owner gave us, we were sent to voicemail multiple times. When making the reservation, the owner told us that we should have no problem safely staying here with all of the social distancing that is currently in place. The only reason we booked here was because she assured us that their establishment is of a “higher quality” and that the people they rent to are of like mind about socially distancing. That is the furthest thing from the truth. For our entire stay, we were unable to use the pool or common areas due to 2 large groups that had taken over all of the common space for the entire length of the stay. That is not where my issue is...my issue is with how the owner handled the whole situation. I called to ask her if there was anything that she could do to help but she proceeded to tell me that I am an extremely difficult individual and accused me of discriminating against other guests, all because I was trying to safely distance myself and family from others to keep everyone safe. Not sure how or why she thinks that but what owner of right mind would accuse a customer of something like that just for trying to keep their family safe during a pandemic?? Instead of taking care of the situation or speaking calmly with me she then told me that me and my family with a new baby should just leave! Are you kidding me!? If I wanted to be treated that way I would have gone to one of the many motels that surround WildWood. Don’t let the nice look of the rooms and outside fool you, this place is run by an ignorant and completely unprofessional woman. We talked with multiple other visitors staying at the same time and all of them had similar complaints. DO NOT STAY HERE!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY...

Absolutely excellent place to stay in wildwood. Only 2 blocks walk to the boardwalk. Definitely bring a beach wagon as the beach is a bit of a hike- but still not bad! Parking lot for the complex is a short walk and was very safe feeling. There is a free laundry room so bring washer tabs with you if you want to go home with clean instead of dirty clothes! Very much appreciated the free washing and drying machines. A nice thoughtful courtesy. My only recommendation in terms of the condos is that the mattresses need an upgrade - especially our queen bed it was very uncomfortable for more than one night. I'd recommend a low end nectar or something similar that is both cost effective for the owners and comfortable for longer stays for guests. The family who owns the place is very helpful and responsive - they have a dedicated phone you can text for questions or if you need something that they provide like paper towels. The condos have multiple room ac units so being there in the summer was nice to be able to find relief in the cold after a long day in the sun. Plenty of things to do in walking distance and a grocery store very close by so you don't have to eat out all the time. The pool was the perfect size for my kids but I will say it did get crowded at times and not all guests were respectful or safe. That is not the owner's fault but that was the only other issue we had during our stay. Would for sure stay again!! Very pretty views from our 3rd...

This place is in a great location, clean, and any needs are addressed almost immediately. Best customer service imaginable! Parking is about a block away and not problematic at all. The balcony is such a nice, relaxing place to sit and rest.

While I appreciated the positives mentioned above, I was put off by the amount of rust on metal fixtures, especially bathroom cabinet handles. There was also nowhere in the shower to place your toiletries besides the floor, and all of the doors in our unit either squeaked loudly or were nearly impossible to close because they were too tight in the door jamb.

The actual biggest issue for me, though, is the dampness in the second bedroom. My kids’ sheets and clothes felt damp from being in that room and it smelled like there’s a moisture/ventilation issue. Now that we’re home I can really notice the smell on all of our things. I’m not sure if this is specific to this room in this unit.
