This is gonna be the only place we stay everytime.. i used to live at the 1900 condos and i got spoiled bad so i was nervous where to stay . The reviews on this place hooked me in.. everyone kept mentioning the owners by name and that was impressive considering other places all have mixed reviews. I booked 2 places before this one and they didn't feel right so i cancelled. Some had bed bug pics and i was really having anxiety about it . I saw this place and even without a pool, (places with one complained of being dirty and closing too early anyway) so i knew this was the one.. i felt much better about this whole trip. Im very glad i took the chance
Owners are very accommodating, they offer everything possible. .. i even saw a guitar in the community room so I'll be there later.. i didn't want to drag my guitar but i wanted it when i got here..they offer bikes and were super nice with parking, moving one of their vehicles for us. The rooms are small but they are for sleeping.. too much going on down here to be in a room . If i had one complaint, if i had to have one, it would be the toilet is in an awkward way to the door but The shower is biger then you would think for the size of the room . Its nicer then mine at home. And when i say clean .. like u never seen a hotel like this.. they could perform surgery here! Thats one thing i knew i was going to like.. someone said its like army barracks. Well, they are that way for a reason, its easy to keep clean. Do u really know or remember the corny hotel wall art? I hope not . We have a big fridge and i noticed in the shower, there are refillable soap and shampoo dispensers, everything you need.. the wifi is great, tv is a good size.. and my son is hooked on tv so that helps . My husband is like rail thin so him and the kid fit in the bed fine. My bed at home is a couch since our kid was born so this is huge! I wish food delivery got here because i want to play in the room already! I always think when u see tons of raving reviews and one or 2 bad, u know what the problem is. If u are the only person with something negative to say, check urself to find the problem.. other then rooms being small, which isnt a bad thing because who needs extra open areas u arent occupying, just to look at...
Read moreI rarely leave bad reviews. The only positive this room had was being clean/remodeled. The reviews have to be friends/family. No way there are no negative experiences. So im gonna give u some facts about this place. This is not a hotel. It was more like a hostel/army barracks. You can see by the pictures how small the room was. We had no place to put things, could barely walk around bed. Couldnt even turn around in tiny bathroom. There was NO ice machine(the ice was from freezer at theyre home that we had to ask for). NO wifi code given. NO PARKING.(They allowed us to park in theyre driveway when i refused to pay another $20/day to park in adjacent church) NO pool. TINY TV could barely see. NO free breakfast. NO maid service as we used same towels for 3 days(at beach)! and never saw anyone cleaning our entire stay. Fridge didn't freeze our ice packs. We had "shared amenties" We were at top of stairs and heard every person walking to all upstairs rooms. ZERO privacy as owners bothered us everytime we walked out of room who were more interested in where we were going than giving us hostel needs. . I paid almost $400 for 2 nights. For that much $$$$ there should have been all those ammenities ESPECIALLY IN BEACH AREA There are tons of hotels within same area that offer all of that for same/less price. This was worth about $90 a night. As the passive agressive owner responded to no issues so SEND HALF...
Read moreWe had such an amazing stay at Hotel on Magnolia East. Dennis and Jenny are the best hosts and the real deal. A group of us were staying for a weekend ultimate frisbee tournament - Dennis and Jenny bought some extra bagged ice for us to have on hand and were happy to help us transport our gear to the fields on their golf cart when they were available. The location of the hotel is perfect - just a short walk to the beach and boardwalk - but there were also bikes available for anyone who needed one.
The hotel has a courtyard with plenty of tables, comfy seating, and cute decorations - we spent a good deal of our free time just hanging out there. There is also a grill available and Dennis & Jenny even grilled up some food for the guests one night! We felt welcome and right at home the whole stay. Our room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend Hotel on Magnolia East if you need a cozy and safe place to stay while in Wildwood. We will be staying there again for next year's...
