I was initially excited for a last-minute stay, but I encountered several issues that fell well below my expectations. Highly disappointed for a Family-Owned establishment.||1. Reservation and Check-In Communication||I called initially and spoke with a nice staff member (the daughter), who secured a one-night stay.|I had another call with a staff member (the mother) to confirm that I am coming, but she gave an attitude as a result in confusion about their two-night minimum policy, which was only resolved when the daughter intervened.|Upon arrival, I found a staff member still inside the room I had reserved, delaying my check-in.||2. Room Cleanliness and Condition||Drawers emitted a musty, moldy odor and showed visible wet stains.|Bed linens and blankets smelled of heavy chemical spray, raising questions about laundering practices.|The mattress was thin, worn, and felt the internal springs.|Walls bore numerous mystery stains and marks.|Carpet edges appeared torn and frayed throughout the room.||3. Amenities and Maintenance Failures||The key initially provided did not work, requiring a replacement.|The air-conditioning unit's temperature control button was broken; no remote was available.|The room temperature remained at an uncomfortable 81°F, hotter than exterior conditions, with no functioning window (dead fly observed).|Towels were rough, scratchy, and stained with small orange spots.|Front-Desk hours was a mystery, ended up not getting help with the AC issue.||This motel should have a working AC and official office hours and emergency hours. Don't waste your money here. It's not worth staying when sleep is...
Read moreI stayed at the William Inn on Popular Ave in Wildwood NJ. August 6th thru 7th. My disabled husband and I went out to eat dinner, when we got back we went for a walk on the broadwalk. As we got back to our hotel room my husband went to take a shower and stepped on seashells that were scattered on the shower floor he slipped and fell. I am wondering who place the seashells there. We locked the room door before we went to lunch. Only one who have an extra key was the owner. And her son Micheal. I felt violated and unsafe that i slept in the car. Around Sunday Morning i spoke to the owner Ms. Celinski and het son Micheal. She asked him did he go in the room. He had a stupid smerk on his face. I believe he did it without his mother knowledge. She is a nice lady but i am truly dissatisfied it ruined my vacation. Why would you try to do harm to us that was very evil. Our ages are 61and 55-year-old. Please read reviews first before staying at any of these hotels/motels. Its her son thats evil. And when he responds to this review he will have an excuse, just like all the other bad teviews. He acts...
Read moreIt is a small family owned motel...they are very friendly...the only downside is if you stay at one of the suites which include a kitchen and sleeps 6...you will be very disappointed to know that the living room area has no air conditioning in it...the only one is in the bedroom...this is our second year staying here...last year we only stayed three days and just rented a room...if we return again next year...this is definitely what we will do again...the downside about the 1 rooms is there is only a shower...no tub...this is a plus for the suite...it has a full size tub with a shower...but to be cooler next time...I will give up the tub...they have a small pool...which is also a plus to me...I am not a big fan of the beach and ocean...so my daughter and her girlfriend hang out there while I hang out at the pool...but all in all...it is a great and cheaper place to stay...and I would definitely...
