Mango Motel — Hotel in Wildwood

Due to extensive water damage and mold, the ceiling tile in the shower caved in during my stay. I noticed the drooping ceiling in the shower on my first day there. I even got by with a second shower, all while worried that the ceiling would fall during my shower. Came back to my room after dinner on my third and last night there to find mold infested tile, sheetrock, wood and insulation in the bathtub and on the floor. After calling the office with no answer, I left a message for someone to call me back. No one called. I slept in the room with the bathroom door closed because it reeked of mold in that room. I couldn't even use the toilet without vomiting from the black mold exposure. In the morning, after getting the owner on the phone by calling again myself, he agreed to give me a refund of one night for the inconvenience. That was no easy tasks, though. First he tried to defend himself or explain why it happened. Does it really matter? Make good on this experience with your guest! It has been a month, 3 follow-up voice messages, and an email later, but still no refund or reply from the owner.

In addition, the rooms are old and dingy. The bathroom sink was clogged and filled with nasty water every time it was used. The bed was horribly cheap and hard.

I have never left a negative review, but this place warrants it. Way overpriced for the conditions. I did not feel safe security or health-wise. I have received zero compensation from my horrifying experience. I will not return and I would never recommend this place to my...

Wish there was a 0 stars option...There was black mold In picture on wall also in bathroom around tub around tile looked like they tried to cover with silicone. The toilet had fecal matter on rim of totilet. There was what looked to be throw up on walls in bathroom. The dishes provide were disgustin dead bugs and covered in old food. when I woke up my first morning there I went to make coffee to find the reusable filter to have old coffee in it along with mold spores growing aswell. When i called frank the owner and had told him our issues he said thats impossible and when i said could we figure something tocorrect problems he said he call me back that never happened.. now i didnt want to stay there and i wanted to leave due to not having issues responded too and never getting a call back... now 4 hrs later i was still waiting at motel for him to come there and or call me. That never happened.. And when i do finally get in touch with him he says since im impatient i get nothing and hangs up on me also there were frozen bugs in ice machine.... def. A horrible place if u ask me... i rather go camping and live in my tent for a week then ever go there again.. also yo say the least my girlfriend is pregnant and the owner also new this and did nothing. There also was know one if the office another customer said he called when they arrived to check in and the work said your keys in the room im gone...

My friends booked a room here for 4 days and got a queen size bed in SMALL room, they couldn’t even open the drawers to get into the dresser. Next to the dresser are two trash cans a min fridge and a microwave.. you couldn’t even walk through the room.. Mind you right out front of there door is an Ice machine, it makes ice all night long waking them up throughout the night. So the next day they get up and call me up asking if I wanted to come over and swim so of course I said sure.. NOT one sign anywhere said that if you are not a guest you can not swim in the pool. I went into the pool with the guest that paid to stay there... the manager comes out screaming making a scene infront of everyone saying that I’m not a guest that I’m trespassing and he is going to call the police on me.. I was SITTING in the pool with my friends that paid to stay in this crappy closet of a room. So now everyone at this place is looking over wondering why this dude is screaming at me out of nowhere while everyone was enjoying themselves.. as I go to grab my stuff out of their room he starts screaming at me telling me to get away from there room and they can grab my sh*t out of the room that I’m not allowed in there at all or he will call the police for trespassing.. all I got to say is never go to this crappy 2 inch dirty motel.
