Let me start off the only thing that keeps this hotel afloat is its outstanding staff and its location. The hotel itself is a step above a seedy hourly hotel. Here is thr rub the hotel has been sold to a private equity group that is just milking thr hotel for any profit and not investing in upkeep. Original owners only got to respond 1/3 of the rooms before covid so if don't get one of those you will be mad. Now let's start with room, most have room key issues as they are metal keys still. Then the deadbolts don't work and they have no perp holes to see who is at the door. Inside our rooms it was 3 room cottage with only a TV in the living the bedrooms are just a bed and a lighted ceiling fan no dressers or tables. 3rd bed which is a pull out sleeper was broken. In the bathroom they exposed pex pipes which not up to code. The transition stripes between doors have sharp screws popping up and one door was missing. Also there is only one Ac in thr living room bedrooms have fans so keep doors open. The pool itself is clean but there is wear and tear on it it is not heated and hot tub needs to be redone as it seen better days. I wish I could tell people to stay here but unless the ownes do major renovations in the winter I would tell you stay away and I hope the staff find other places to work as they are good with what tools they got.

I checked in and my room was right above the bar. The noise level was so high, I felt that I was sitting in the bar. I complained to the manager and asked to be switched to another room and he told me to close the door in the hallway. I told him that I felt the floors vibrate and closing the door was not going to help. He stated that the music should stop around 12, which was not the case. The t.v. had so much static you couldn't watch it. I went to the manager and he sent the maintenance guy. He tried to play with the wires and nothing that he did worked. He said that the manager had to call the cable company. So for my three day stay we could not watch tv. The rug in the room smelled so bad and I couldn't open the window because it was out of the frame. I was afraid that if I tried to open it, it would fall out. There was a roach inside the dresser drawer so I didn't unpack. The small refrigerator was on top of the dresser and it didn't completely close so any beverage that I placed inside was not cold, but just cool. I had to park a block and a half from the hotel so I had to go back and forth to get the beach chairs and put them back at the end of the day. This place needs to be renovated and that room above the bar has to be soundproofed. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.

The room was awful unfortunately I must report. Not even a standard dresser nor a room phone to call guest service. The ice maker was broken on our floor during our whole visit so we were inconvenienced to go to another floor for ice. Also, after our 1st shower and seeing how slow the water emptied from the bathtub, we decided to time the next one and it took literally 2 hours to drain. The walls are also too thin as we could hear the tv from the next room all night long and anything else they were doing! Finally, they put in an outside tiki type bar with a pool open to non-staying guests, which cut down on the parking lot. They have more parking on the next block...which was a total inconvenience to the 2 of us. Can't imagine the inconvenience to a family with kids. My advice is to not stay here. But the location is great right across from the convention center and near the beginning of the boardwalk. The staff were very friendly and helpful and that's about the only positive things I can say. As far as the location goes, I'd rather stay at a hotel/motel a block or 2 away from the beach if the accommodations are better. And we paid $800 for a 3 night stay here and not worth it! This is a totally honest review.

If no stars were an option, Id choose that. The 1 staff member I had contact with was pleasant and understandably cannot control nor is responsible for the complete mess this hotel is. I wish I had read the reviews prior agreeing to stay here, it was booked by spouse and that was done based only a few pictures that were online-all of which are nothing close to what it actually is. This wasn’t the cheapest place either so, it’s not a “get what you pay for” type of situation. It was $1,374 for 2 rooms for 3 nights. Filthy doesn’t begin to describe the entire place. From trying to find a place to park (the hotel lot could accommodate maybe 10 vehicles if that, their “additional lot” was over a block away and was nothing more than a grass field. There were sketchy people sitting on the sidewalks in front and on the side of the hotel cursing, yelling and openly smoking weed. The one elevator they had about an inch of water on the floor-i assume due to it being within close proximity to the pool and the lack of any ventilation to dry it out, the rooms themselves would never pass even a cursory inspection from the health department; missing pieces of carpeting, mold on the outside of the fridge, burnt lampshades, the smell of mildew was only overpowered by the smell of marijuana from people smoking inside the place. The bathrooms were a small step above a port a potty, there was mold around the bottom of the toilet, the tub was filthy with soap scum. The bedroom window appeared to be painted shut. The chain lock on the door was busted obviously from the outside in because after noticing the lock you could see door jam damage.. the 2nd room we booked was supposed to be a “ocean view with a private balcony” and was an additional charge. The private balcony was barely big enough to hold 1 outdoor plastic chair, and the glass on the door to get to the balcony was so loose that upon opening the door the whole thing rattled-it was a regular door not sliding glass thus the rattling and instability of the glass. The “swim up tiki bar” was open to the public and was a whole lot smaller than the picture led on. The pool was so small and there were probably 75 people in a pool that could accommodate 30 max in order to be able to do anything other than just stand there. We stayed long enough to lug all of our luggage up to the room and turn around and take it back. The only way to the room was through the pool area which is why I even took the time to pay attention to the pool otherwise I wouldn’t even had bothered. Getting a refund wasn’t an issue and wasn’t given a hard time as others have said they experienced. Due to the fact that myself and my children didn’t sign up to be exposed to marijuana smoke in the corridors of our hotel. NEVER would I return here, even if it was free! It felt like a very unsafe place and, to top it off; immediately upon registering we were told that “due to short staffing” there would be no maid service-we were to tie the garbage bags up and put it in the hall next to our room along with throwing any dirty towels next to the garbage, we could go then go down to the front desk and...

For the staying in Wildwood during peak season, I would say that the experience was mediocre at best. The price was the lowest we could find on booking . com. Unfortunately, (with regards to all of the other prices in town) you get what you pay for here. Everything that was mentioned in the room description online, and on the booking app was in the room. However that speaks nothing of the quality of the room. It looks as though it hasn't been renovated since the 80's. In spots, black mold from water damage had spored through the old paint (having done reno and demo work I know how bad that stuff is for people), but predominantly in the top corners of the room I'd bear with it for a one night stay. The TV in the room was a tube TV, older than I am. It had a picture that was barely visible through the fuzziness of white interference. Along with that there was only two volume settings: soft and extremely loud... Welcome to the 21st century. With regards to the A/C it worked very well. However countering its performance was the fact that it wasn't made for the room. So since it was smaller than the original A/C that must have been there prior, they covered the gaps from showing with plastic trim that definitely didn't fit properly. There was an attempt to fill the space with adhesive foam insulation striping that probably came with it. But the adhesiveness had since been shot and all the insulation had fallen back, leaving large open spaces for the outside air to pour through. What bothered me the most was the lack of privacy. This was due to the fact that the storm door had a full length jalousie window, but the bottom third of the glass pains had been broken out. Their fix? A piece of plexiglass that covered the entirety of it. This left the bottom completely see through. Which is convenient for anyone walking on the sidewalk across the street. It is a clear line of sight. Much less than that, it was a corner room right above the giant "BAR" sign. So trying to sleep with the bright flashing red and white lights illuminating the room was just as interesting. It wasn't anything like pictured on the booking app or website, but as I said unfortunately everything advertised was there (in poor condition). I don't care what other prices are in Wildwood, even for a spontaneous one night trip, my girlfriend and I would NOT...

I booked straight through their website & the pictures were very misleading! The pictures made it look like there was 2 separate rooms in one, which is why I was willing to pay $500 more for it compared to the cheaper booking I had already but cancelled it “assuming” I was getting more space. I paid over $300 for a deposit & then another 1200 plus in cash when we got there. The room was so tiny, with 2 queen beds & sofa bed smushed into one little room! 1 chair for the table, if the sofa bed was pulled out, you couldn’t even get to the kitchen, & the room stunk like an ashtray! There were no dressers to unpack clothes & no balcony or anything to hang wet clothes! I was so upset, damn near in tears! I went to request for my cash back & they could keep my $300+ deposit, but I wanted all my cash back & that I wanted to go elsewhere. The person in charge argued with me that I did get what was pictured & that I “assumed” there was separate rooms. When I showed him the pictures, he told me I assumed. In the pictures there was a tv in front of the sofa bed & one in front of the beds. The room had 1 tv & whoever was sitting on the couch couldn’t watch tv. But after arguing for over 5+ mins he eventually said “ fine, I’ll give it back to you if you leave right now because I’m getting annoyed “ & I hurried up to get all of our bags. Which we actually had put onto a luggage rack to bring upstairs in the elevator & the elevator only went to one side of the building, so we still had to pick up everything to bring upstairs the other side. Topping it off with the parking being like 2 blocks away! So they got me for over $300 but it was well worth it to get the heck out of that cubicle! I would never recommend this place to anyone! The only nice thing about the place was the lady at the front & the bathroom in the...
