We decided to book a room here through Air BnB. The price was comparable to the surrounding hotels and lodges and the photos looked good, they turned out to be old pictures. This wasn't the only problem. On our first night around 10 pm as we got to room 149 after a long trip to the area, we had to wait until the AC unit was fixed before we could go to bed. While waiting we noticed a bug that looked like a cockroach that scurried away before closer inspection, it turned out that it was a cockroach and it was not the last one we saw. The next morning we found five roaches in total just in the hour we were up to leave, they were in the corners and hiding under our bags. We went to the front desk to complain around 9 am before we left, but no one was there and the doors were locked. We also found that the pool shown in the listing photos was not usable as it is pictured, it's overgrown and drained. We called later that day and we're told that there have never been roaches in our room and that they could guarantee this, but we were given a "VIP" room for our troubles. The"VIP" room 213 had more problems. When we went to enter late that night, we were given new key cards. These didn't work which wasn't a big deal, but instead of new cards we were given the clerk's master key card that could access any room in the lodge. We were told this was temporary and that they would be by shortly with new cards, we had this card until we left the next day. Access to any room given to a stranger, woe upon anyone who doesn't use the deadbolt on their door. When we got into the room we noticed the floors weren't clean, the bed was sunken on both sides, and there were dead bugs in the mini fridge. We found later that the toilet didn't flush and the AC blew warm air. Checkout the next morning was at 11 am, we were trying to leave around 8 am. There was no one in the front lobby again, but the door was unlocked. We left a note with the key card and left. We called and tried to negotiate with our host to get a partial refund (half of what we paid) for this stay, but she was not very cooperative, after getting Air BnB support involved, she offered us $100 back out of a $306 stay while also trying to make sure we didn't leave a bad review under the thinly veiled threat of leaving us a bad guest review. The only positive takeaway from this stay is that the staff are friendly and they tried their best to help with the situation. TLDR: Don't stay here.

I don't know how this hotel has a 3.9 review. There is absolutely no way. Do not be deceived by the pictures you see, none of them look like this hotel actually looks. When we pulled up there was another couple waiting outside the hotel with their bags. We wondered why they said they'll leave when they get their money back.... Until we got into our room. I saw another review on here that says the doors don't close all the way but let me add that they're also the quality of bedroom doors in a home. There was no security. Anyway... When we got to the room the door wouldn't open for us. He went down to the desk. They came up with their "tools (an electronic device that opens the door) and still could not get the door open. They tried another room which they also could not open. We moved in to a THIRD room. They got this door open but what we saw inside was repulsive. NO ONE, and I mean no one should ever have to stay in these conditions, let alone people who have paid real money to stay there. When the door opened there were only sheets on the bed, no comforter or blanket. Then we entered further. We looked in the bathroom and there was a HUGE dead cockroach on the floor. Clearly even a cockroach can't live in this environment... We both felt a little skeptical of this room so we pulled back the sheets and there were VISIBLE bed bugs. I'll include a picture below. Overall the room was, again, repulsive. We went to ask for a refund to which they said we'd have to contact the owner for a refund. It's been almost 2 weeks and we've been blown off after only a text asking what happened. My advice... Stay away from this one!

Well, We tried to help the place out. But all they do is refuse to pay you or get materials for you. My Fiancé is now sitting in the county jail because they pressed charges on him for simply being here. We have proof of room & board for exchange of work. But refusal of getting the materials. The new manager tried to get me to sell forge, counterfeit coins valued over 5k, the mold here is so bad that my fiancé and a few other people are sick all of the time due to the black mold. The fire Marshall has been here. People have been here, but it always gets paid off. They are turning the 2nd building into dorms, but I wouldn't want my child to stay here. They will definitely get their 1st taste of "roughing it!" They refuse to drop charges on an innocent man, so let me show everyone what they are really about. I am keeping my feet firm in my room, which is clean and has no problems because my fiancé fixed it up. But the sooner he gets out, I'll be out. I will not give in to these users. I have proof on the mold and bugs and just the pure nasty. I even have pictures of the rooms my fiancé completed and the room he had not. We only had 3 rooms to put floors into, but for some reason, they refused materials. It's funny how it's down to 3. But I've seen it, time and time again, not thinking they would do it to actual friends, but they do it to get away with it. Like who would refuse materials if there are just a few to go! They always ran their maintenance man around ragged and it's sad. This place isn't going anywhere. The taxes owed on this place almost make ur head spin!

In February my family and myself started renting a 2 room suite at this hotel. At first there was Wi-Fi and cable but that is no longer they don’t have either! The roaches will do a number on your psyche you can’t keep your room clean enough the entire place is so infested that they have to go somewhere!! the entire time I stayed Feb 21, 2024 until l week ago when I finally had to get out or I was not going to be me any longer!! The stress of people knocking on your doors begging for drugs or a cigarette all hours of the nigh. The police are constantly there your belongings are not even safe locked inside your room that is if you are even able to get a key card to your room! The staff doesn’t stay long Someone new always thinks they are a hero and then realize it’s too much too far gone!! I was called a squatter my electric was shut off for 5 days and once they had to turn on i was served with an arrest warrant for trespassing (which was thrown out of court) but at the same time I’m being charged with criminal trespassing I am also being served eviction papers it’s unreal anything to get your money!! My fiancé and I actually needed to find a place to stay until we found a permanent rental the price per night was $38 well that climbs fast and you have no where to go and you find that your not able to pay. By the time we left the rent for 1 room was $200 plus and so you can imagine what my 2 room suite was priced and it’s not just double it’s double plus so don’t be fooled!! when we arrived in Feb we had no air conditioning and there were still chilly nights and mornings and no heat finally brought in our own source for heat we had the a/c unit replaced 3 times and still in August there was no actual working air conditioning unit I’m rooms 310 and 309. This review will more than likely be taken down but this is the real deal it’s maybe the very tip of what is wrong with this place this isnt the half of it!! also forgot to mention your mental health does deminish and that is mainly due to the exposure to mold that is out of control and can’t...

Any good reviews of this place are complete lies! First off, I rarely write a bad review. Second off, I want any person considering staying here to not have their stay ruined by completely inaccurate information. After we drove around looking for Williamsburg Suites but realized it is Travel Lodge per the sign, we pulled into a run down, pot hole filled, broken down cars on premises, project looking hotel. We arrived at 7pm for check in(the hotel was aware of the 7pm check in) but the front desk clerk had to look for a room. He was very friendly but overwhelmed and and stated someone just bought the hotel. Apparently whomever bought this place just wanted to rent rooms without having a plan in place. A guy came down and went through a checklist on pen and paper of available rooms. They had a few but with no tvs. Then the older gentleman said, it'll just be a few minutes while we put a cable box in the room. We finally got a room. Eh. It wasn't the worst room I've ever stayed in, but man was I lied to through the other reviews! The TV had one channel but the remote had no batteries so it didn't matter anyways. The toilet didn't flush well. Doors are warped. Looks like flooring was just thrown down. Super sketch motel. Definitely no breakfast! We met a guy who said he knew where we were staying and if for some reason we went missing after staying there, he would create an investigation podcast. Thanks pal! Luckily we made it through the night with no issues. Pay the extra 20 bucks and stay across the street. The only saving grace of this hole was the young front clerk, who should find a better place to work and the location. This business needs closed down until they can...
