We chose this hotel because of its positive reviews. Hotel is centrally located, it has 5 floors but no elevator. We were welcomed with tee and Michael gave us a guide what to do/see in Hanoi. First we waited until 14:30 so we could enter the room. Our room was dirty - toilet seat wasn’t cleaned - there were urine stains. Floor was not clean, bed had small black hair (I suppose pubic hair). I didn’t feel comfortable so we decided to leave the room. Michael gave us an option to stay in another upgraded room or he will give us our money back (not what we payed but what they have received over the booking). As the other hotels were sold/booked out we decided to give it another chance. Other room was much bigger and seemed to be cleaner. As I looked closer there was mold and hair in the toiletries cup, bath towels had brown stains, the floor towel was still wet. I just couldn’t stay there, so we left. We received part of our money back. |Michael was really welcoming and...
Read moreI highly recommend choosing Hanoi Elite Hotel for your stay in Hanoi. My room was very clean, gorgeous and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. This became VERY important, because I arrived in Hanoi just as the entire city was shutting things down due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. I ended up needing to stay at Hanoi Elite Hotel for three nights while waiting to get my flights arranged to return home to Alaska. The staff helped me to arrange some really nice walks and restaurant visits as well as calling me a taxi when needed and a private driver to and from the airport. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. And, all of the hotel services felt like a life saver during such a stressful time. The free WiFi in my room allowed me to be in touch with my family and make my travel changes and arrangements. I really look forward to returning to this hotel as soon as I am allowed to return to Vietnam. THANK YOU Hanoi...
Read moreLocated in the heart of the Old quarter within walking distance of all the restaurants, bars and shops but tucked away in a side street so night times are quiet inside your room. For the price you pay here you get so many nice extras, the bed and pillows were super comfy, 2 opening windows let the fresh air in at night and no need for the aircon. Free toiletries, kettle and free tea and coffee, fresh towels and linen, hairdryer, good TV with western channels. My room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It was cleaned to a high standard. You will not get better than this for the price. The only downside is the lack of elevator and the steep stairs but the incredible staff will do all your carrying. I took a star off for the climb to my room but put it back on for the superb and helpful staff who took care of everything! Even waiting for my airport taxi at the end of the road and carrying my bags in the rain !...
