Hanoi May House Travel — Hotel in Hà Nội

There's better hotels in Hanoi for the same place if not cheaper. Upon arriving at night, the staff is reluctant to help me check in and does not seem to understand the check in process. There's also a massive flight of stairs with no elevator so it's a hassle to bring up the luggage alongside walking up and down the heat everyday. The day time staff seems to be fine but when it's night time, the staff don't want to help at all and they don't even act like they work here.

I chose to check out early due to multiple instances of there being cockroaches in my room. I tried to be understanding the first time since it's common for there to be bugs in a humid place, but the 2nd time and hotel's response was not acceptable. I had to basically beg for staff to remove the bug from my own room. Thereafter, I took 3 waterbottles compared to the 2 I received from the staff the other day and I was given a hard time.

There's also a lot of noise coming in from the streets and every night you can hear music playing from the outside.

I've never seen this level of service and cleanliness in Vietnam before. Spend your money elsewhere, hotels can be great and affordable here.

I have to concur with other 'terrible' reviewers. This hotel is not operating in a truthful way. I booked a room around a month before arriving. On arrival I was asked if I would stay for the first two nights at one of their 'other hotels' and then be upgraded for the final two days of my stay.||||I was tired so I agreed, just needing to check in and get some sleep. The room at the other hotel (le petit Hanoi) was pretty poor. Cigarette smoke ever present, the room just needed gutting and starting again. It was awful. But I was tired so I took it.||||I gave the choice to Old Quarter House to give me the room that I booked for the remaining three days. Despite their showing availability on Booking.com, there was no availability. So I left for a very nice hotel (check out Impressive Hotel, around the corner).||||I have to conclude that this is an overbooking scam....

Thanks Lyli for the fantastic attention and service. Easy way to book Vietnam tour packages if it is your first time in Vietnam. The staff is so friendly, and they will do whatever to get the best option you can have, even if you want to book in the last moment (that was our case). The location is great, inside the center of Hanoi. Our Halong Bay tour and Sapa tour were booked here, everything was fantastic, without any issue. I strongly recommend this place if you want to check different options for your trip in Vietnam. I hope you can enjoy it as...
