I have never left 1 star for a hotel but this was terrible. The hotel is located through a souvenir shop. When we first checked in we were an hour early so we asked if we could leave our bags with them. When we returned an hour later we found our bags at the front of the shop unattended. Our room was very dirty, it had dirt and rubbish on bedside table from the guests before us. The bed sheets were dirty, and the bathroom had mould. Everything needed a good clean. There was also an ant infestation. We never brought any food into the room and the whole place was covered in ants. We tried to look past this as we were only spending one night here and we had no where else to go. But then when we went to sleep, the hallway lights stayed on. At 1am we got out of bed to find the light switch in the hallway to turn them off ourselves. The rooms windows looked directly into the hallway, so the room was constantly bright at all hours. The walls are so thin you could hear everything from outside and in the surrounding rooms. One of the guests (which we later realised was actually staff) stayed up till 2am with the door wide open on a phone call on loud speaker. Even after we got out of bed- again- to tell him to be quieter he continued the noise. Then at 5:30am the noise started again, and the lights came back on. Once again staff, talking loudly and cleaning directly outside of our room. The staff were generally very unfriendly, they didn’t even give us the WiFi until we had to ask later, No recommendations or information. The bare minimum you expect when you come to a hotel is to sleep, and we did not even have the privilege to do that. The only redeeming factor was the location, but there are many hotels and hostels in Hanoi, do...
Read moreComfortable room, bathroom and toilet are very clean, good soundproofing, very quiet, there are two large soft beds very comfortable for our family. The hotel is located in the center of the old quarter, close to many restaurants and bars. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, one of the famous attractions of Hanoi. The hotel is small but the staff is very professional like a 3-star hotel. There is a waiting room and luggage storage for guests who check in and check out early. Especially, the receptionist Tuan Anh is very wonderful, enthusiastic and hospitable. We had 2 wonderful nights here, the highest recommendation for those who want to...
