I stayed at Media Central Hotel Hanoi for seven nights in the King Suite, and overall the experience was very positive. The suite was spacious, clean, and tastefully designed. It included two televisions, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, along with a comfortable sofa and a bathroom with a bathtub. The living room TV was a pleasant surprise, a large screen of around 50 inches with YouTube and Netflix, offering surprisingly good sound quality. It made for cozy movie nights with my partner when the weather was rainy. The living room had two windows, one with a city view and another facing a light shaft that did not provide much of a view but still allowed natural light. On the hotel’s website as of August 2025, some King Suite photos showed rugs, but the suite I stayed in did not have any. Rugs would have made the space feel warmer and more polished, but their absence was not a problem. Some websites also mentioned a balcony for the King Suite, yet mine did not include one. Since I booked through Agoda, which did not advertise a balcony or rugs, my expectations were managed. The bed was very comfortable, and my fourth floor room was well soundproofed, which made for restful sleep. Blackout curtains worked perfectly, and the hot and cold water supply was always reliable. The bathroom fixtures were of high quality, including the bathtub, showerhead, faucets, and toilet, which made the stay more enjoyable. I requested two key cards, and the staff provided them, which was convenient as it allowed me to keep the air conditioning running while stepping out. Without this, it would have taken time for the room to cool down again. Overall, everything in the suite functioned smoothly and contributed to a comfortable stay. There were a few small imperfections. Some furniture had minor cigarette burn marks. The bathroom had a glass window to the bedroom with a curtain accessible only from inside the bedroom, which felt like a design oversight. The nightstands were somewhat stiff to open and could benefit from maintenance. Additional countertop space in the bathroom for toiletries would have been useful. The minibar fridge was on the smaller side, and while the closet was adequate for a short stay, it felt limited for a full week. These were not major issues, but they kept the experience just shy of a true five star level. The staff were outstanding. Jamie and Celina in particular went above and beyond to make the stay smooth. They assisted us in booking the exact cruise we wanted at the best price we had found, and arranged an early check in which made arrival very convenient. Breakfast was good, with a buffet and a separate on table menu. It was not extraordinary but filling and reliable. The hotel does not have a full restaurant beyond the breakfast area and rooftop bar, but this was not an issue since there are excellent dining options nearby. MET Restaurant, which we enjoyed, is located right next door, and the Old Quarter has many eateries within walking distance. The hotel facilities and atmosphere added to the experience. The elevator was efficient, and there was a pineapple placed in the corner, providing a light fruity scent. Wi Fi worked very well in the suite, and the lighting was versatile with both warm and bright options, making it easy to create the right mood. The location is excellent, right in the Old Quarter. A 24 hour mart sits directly across the street, Beer Street is less than five minutes away, and Hoan Kiem Lake is about a ten minute walk. The hotel arranged a spa service with skilled masseuses. It was a little pricier than market options but still reasonable. The small rooftop bar was convenient, although I found it somewhat expensive compared to others in the area and the view was modest without a lake view. For the price, under fifty US dollars per night for a King Suite in mid August, the value was outstanding. Based on experience alone I would rate it 4.5 out of 5, but at this price point it is an easy 5 out of 5.

I am glad that I’ve managed to get a room in this hotel. Usually it gets very busy and now I understand why. First of all, its location. That’s exactly where you wanna be to discover Hanoi. Especially if it’s your first time here. You can even enjoy a view on the old district from the rooftop terrace they have. Room: I’ve booked the simplest room without window. I was a bit hesitant but everything was fine. (Btw it has a window which you could even open to get some fresh air, but it was pointing to another room). Additional benefit: it was very quiet in the night. Staff is very caring, they make you feel special and welcome. Everything is neat and cleans Breakfast was delicious, not only they have buffet, but additionally you can order pho, eggs and pancakes. That said, I can certainly recommend the hotel!

The outside may look a little bit old, but the rooms were actually very lovely! We booked a regular room but the hotel upgraded us to a Junior Suite room, which has a lovely view to the street in front of the hotel. Great location--it's right in the middle of the Old Quarter and you can easily walk to the night market area (1-2 minutes). There's a great dining place right next to this hotel called MET and a Circle K just across the hotel. The hotel also serves Pho for breakfast, which tasted fresh and very good. The staffs were very helpful and kind. You can also request for an early check-in. Thank you, Eden Boutique Hotel, for a lovely stay in Hanoi!

Deeply Disappointed - Unacceptable Hotel Experience

My experience was marred by a series of distressing incidents that have left me deeply dissatisfied as a guest.

First and foremost, despite having a confirmed booking, I was informed upon arrival that my room had been "forgotten." This oversight left me without a place to stay, causing considerable inconvenience and frustration. Instead of offering a suitable solution, I was transferred to a shabby, rundown motel, which fell far below the standards I expected from your establishment.

Furthermore, the dishonest behavior of your hotel towards Agoda, claiming a non-existent AC issue, only adds to my disappointment. The AC was in proper working condition, and this deceitful act reflects poorly on your hotel's integrity.

Beyond the booking mishap and deceitful actions, I must also address the conduct of your receptionist, which was highly unprofessional, irresponsible, and disrespectful. Their behavior towards me, a paying guest, was wholly unacceptable and left a lasting negative impression.

As a guest, I rightfully expected to be treated with respect and professionalism, but instead, I encountered an environment that lacked even the most basic courtesy. Moreover, I expect a sincere apology and assurance that appropriate action will be taken to address the unprofessional conduct of your staff.

If this matter is not promptly and adequately addressed, I will feel compelled to share my disappointing experience through online review platforms and inform relevant consumer protection agencies. It is my hope that you will take immediate action to rectify this situation and demonstrate a genuine commitment to customer service.

Extremely...

10/10! Location and staff were both amazing! They messages us in advance in both booking.com and whatsapp. They offered a hotel transfer service which was smooth and convenient. The room itself was clean well maintained and quiet. We stayed 6 nights (28/3-3/4) and enjoyed it thoroughly with room service daily and a nice buffet breakfast. A huge shout out to the entire front desk staffing team they constantly greeted us everytime we went in and out of the hotel. They asked us if we needed any help with tours and offered us dinner suggestions as well! They offered a good hotel concierge service (offering multiple day trips to Halong bay etc) however we did not book any tours through them as they were a little more expensive than some of the local tour providers but those looking for a luxury tour experience and not willing to take the risk could easily book any tours with them. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Hanoi. Great value for money when most places in Hanoi are a little bit pricier compared to the...
