I was honestly hesitant to book this Airbnb because there weren't that many reviews. Susan, however, proved me wrong. Susan went above and beyond as a host to make sure that I was comfortable and enjoyed Hoi An. If you're looking for reasons why you should book this place, look no further. ||||1. Free breakfast: Start every morning with a plate of freshly cut banana, pineapple, watermelon, a glass of passion fruit juice, and your own breakfast choice from the menu (banh mi, omelet + baguette, and so much more!) ||||2. Susan's recommendations and help: When in Hoi An, you have to get a tailored outfit! Susan recommended Tuong Tailor because her cousin works there and it's an extremely well-known place for creating high-quality suits. My friend had two suits tailored there and needed help shipping these suits to Canada. Susan had someone come from the post office directly to the Airbnb. The post office worker helped my friend fill out the forms for the post office and even provided a tracking number. ||||3. The location: You can literally walk away from the Airbnb and in less than 1 minute be in the middle of the night market. This makes it extremely easy to go out for a late-night drink and walk back home safely! ||||4. Susan is so nice!!!: She invited me back to the airbnb for lunch (cao lau + spring rolls) ||||5. taxi service: If you need help getting back to the airport or train station, you can always ask Susan to help book you a taxi. She charges less than Grab!!! ||||(Thank you Susan again for all of your help and I look forward to seeing you again in the future when I bring my parents to...
Read moreI stayed at Gold Stone Homestay for 3 nights during December. I found the location very convenient with a Mini Mart opposite to the homestay that sells it's wares for the same price as the locals pay. Mat, Susan and Nghia provided a friendly atmosphere with an included breakfast which was ample to start the day. Susan and Mat are a wealth of knowledge of the region and can assist you to get to your next destination when it is time to move on.||I stayed in room 203 which was situated at the front of the building. I am an early riser so I would suggest that you may ask for a room at the rear of the building if you prefer to sleep in. The bathroom was quite large compared to many places I have stayed before. The room was clean with a small balcony.||The hot water in the shower was probably the best I have experienced in all of my travels. Definitely a plus if you are travelling during December or January as the weather can be surprisingly cool at this time of the year.||The night Market of An Hoi is an easy one minute walk with the Ancient Town just across the bridge. Central market is around a 5 to 10 minute walk.||If you are a first time traveller to Hoi An I can recommend Gold Stone as a great location to explore all that Hoi An has on offer. Even for myself who has stayed in Hoi An on more than 10 occasions over the past 7 years i was more...
Read moreI had a reservation in Hoi An that I canceled because communication was very difficult. I happened upon Gold Stone Homestay and I was so lucky that I did! Great communication. Great service.||||Fantastic location. Even I couldn't get lost. Susan and her husband and her colleague were SO kind. They arranged a ride for me to and from the airport in Da Nang. A huge comfort and very easy.||||I feel a bit bad because they offered breakfast, but I am really not a breakfast person. I like to take a long walk in the morning and maybe grab a coffee along the way. But for other guests, this is definitely another bonus as you can save even more money by taking breakfast here before venturing out for the day.||||I fell in love with Hoi An, and a very big part of that was because of Gold Stone Homestay. Great location. Great hospitality and kindness. Great value. Great WiFi. What else can...
