Beauty Guesthouse — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

We booked this hotel by booking.com. When we arrived they told us the AC was broken. They had to fix it so we had to stay 1 night in another hotel down the street. I asked if he could cancel my booking with refund. He told me this was not possible and we had to pay 1 night. I wanted to now what kind of hotel it was that he offered als a alternative. The guy at the reception showed us a card from a good hotel with nice review. We were OK with that so we walked to the hotel. When we arrived a saw another name of the hotel. This was not the hotel the guy at the reception showed me! He lied! I was very angry and told him to cancel my booking with refund. Gladly he did after asking many times and put pressure. Such negative energy! After we booked a new hotel I looked on booking.com and there were still rooms available but for much higher price. Don’t go to this hotel if you want a nice and peacefull...

Great budget hotel in a great location in District 1, with only 10 minutes walking distance to Ben Tanh Market. The staff is very friendly and cool, most of them speak good english. A lot of backpackers in this area. The room was big and clean with very comfortable beds. Air conditioning was working good. The only downside is that the balcony is very very small, and has no room for table and chairs. A lot of electric power outlets with good quality. Great WiFi. You don't hear much of the music from the streets, which is good. The breakfast included in the price is very nice. Cheap beers in the hotel bar, and also tasty and cheap food. BEWARE!!!!! Do not book this place.....you might end up elsewhere!!!!! Upon arrival, i was told that they are having some problems with the rooms and we could not stay in the room we booked there. So we were offered to stay at another hotel called blue river hotel. Thats where it started to feel weird. Refer to the numerous reviews on google or other booking sites that stated similar situations. The whole situation felt like a BAIT and SWITCH scam to avoid paying commission to the booking sites.
