My wife and I were booked into the IPeace Hotel for two nights by a friend who lives in Vietnam. We had a standard room, with a double bed but no window. Check-in was easy and although we had a couple of minor issues (safe wasn't working right, air-con leaking once) the staff immediately resolved the issues by replacing the small safe and fixing the air-con. Other than that the hotel is a bit dated but kept very clean and it is in the perfect tourist location, right near the walking street and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Given my wife was heading back to Canada and I was remaining in HMC, I booked 3 more nights through Agoda and upgraded to a room with a street view. The room was excellent and during our whole stay here we were treated fantastic by all the reception staff....Annie, Ken, Daniel and Chloe...I hope I didn't miss anyone...anytime we had an inquiry, they always immediately looked after us and all spoke good English. A special thanks to Mr. Tuấn the day bellman. It always seemed that if and when I had an issue with something like the safe, not being able to know how to work the tv, the air-con, he was the man who resolved it for me....he was always polite and smiling and just like the other staff, was there immediately to help me with whatever my issue was. IPeace isn't a top luxury hotel, but for the low price, the fantastic location, the cleanliness of the building/rooms, and especially the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, you can't go wrong if you are traveling on any type of a budget. Thanks to all the staff at IPeace, you made our...
Read moreI booked the hotel for a day by paying almost 4.2lakh VND and I came to the hotel like I use to check around 11pm. Initially the staff said he had a plumbing issue on a room which he doesn't have an extra room, so he asked me to go to their next property which is 200meters from the hotel. I asked him the assurance and he assured me that's the exact same standard room, also he said if I don't want either I can cancel or He will cancel and he said I'll get the refund(i came to the hotel all the way from Hanoi after a whole day journey and flights just to catch my flight next day morning). So to avoid further conversation I agreed to go with him to see the room he offered. Guys trust that was the WORST hotel I've seen and stayed in a foreign country. That too with the amount I paid. I told him it's truly unacceptable and I asked him to get me the exact room I booked. I think he gave my room to someone else. Anyways I got trapped and scammed in the midnight with no option. Because if he cancels and if I want rebook, I'll have to pay double and also it has already crossed 2359 pm, so if I book a new hotel with my own money the check in time will vary. I really had no idea what to do, only to get adjust and stay the hotel he offered were it's the favourite place for the people who bring the girls from bui vien street. So it's acting like a lodge. I protested, but no news. I contacted agoda, they said their waiting time is...
Read moreThe hotel needs to change the management because the working style is very messy. Their hospitability is very low. They don’t know how to serve one guest and don’t know the hospitability. The check-in time is long and payment is different with the price booked. In addition, the shower was not functionned and not repaired. In the room, there is no hot water heater, so it was very unprofessional to request each time. The air conditioner is loud at night and I can't sleep. The hotel is very noisy at night, especially when the bars located in Bui Vien street play music, because of poor insulation of the windows . Free water is available for the first day and not available for the following days, there is also no tea and coffee and no breakfast is served. Very bad service quality. In particular and very important thing is the way to solve problem , the attitude of hotel manager is very thug and uneducated. They only want to steal money from the guest and don’t want to serve or help them . Never come back because this is the worst hotel I have...
