Genuinely kind and enthusiastic service. The waitress was even singing to herself as she works which is so nice to see. The banh mi was good. We tried the egg one and the grilled pork one. The grilled pork was more of a liver sausage which was delicious and perfect for me, even though it's not really grilled pork like the menu said. My complaint is that there was not enough meat in the pork sandwich. Mostly vegetables. The bread was also a tad too crunchy so the roof of my mouth and corners of my lips are a bit raw now. Each banh mi was 45k and we got the cheapest drinks on the menu: a fresh coconut for 30k each. I gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because there were sooo many street peddlars trying to sell us the same few items over and over ("special" lighters and hand fans) as we sat at the outdoor table. Even the same peddlars came up to us more than once and they will keep soliciting you despite you saying...
Read moreIn most places like this, I always suggest trying food/drinks at least twice before placing a review. We did exactly that and more, we tried thrice. The first time it was good (would rate 4 stars), the second and third time not (1 and 2 stars). We had different Banh Mi's each time and the last two times the bread was just terrible. Clearly old and not fresh. We made a total mess (excessive bread crumbs) while eating and that was not due to us, instead simply a low quality bread (banh mi). After seeing all the ingredients in the shop and how it was made, my spouse who is local, told me she doesn't want to try it at all. They know more than we do. This is a classic tourist location and they obviously do not serve a proper good VN Banh Mi. We also ordered a strawberry shake which ended up basically tasting as syrup or simply a juice, and definitely...
Read moreI went this morning for a coconut matcha LATTE, and it had nothing of a latte—it was coconut water with matcha powder… disappointing because I paid 75,000, and I think that’s quite expensive for a matcha-flavored coconut juice. They told me the matcha latte is a different drink, but if you buy something with “latte” in the name, you expect a latte and not juice.
When you read the name, you might think it has milk or coconut cream, so the name is misleading.
The rest was good and tasty, but I honestly felt ripped off with this product.
The restaurant is nice, and the service is good. (this point really good)
When I let the staff know about my dissatisfaction with the product, they mentioned that I might receive a benefit in the future, but I’m not sure if I’ll go back.
Recomendation: ask first about...
