Pioneer Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

We booked a 3 day 2 night tour in the mekong delta from HCMC to Phnom-Penh. The tour was ok but what really made a difference is the pioneer agency's customer service: at the border with Cambodia the guide scammed us arguing there was a problem with our passports and he needed to bribe the immigration officers. Later on we understood there was no problem with the immigration process and we had just been scammed as this guide didn't cross the border and stayed in vietnam... I made a complaint with the pioneer travel agency explaining what happened and that hopefully they would make sure it didn't happen to other people. I honestly didn't think it would be of any use complaining but the agency went out of their way to make thing up for us and even refunded the cash themselves by sending it to the city we were in Cambodia.

Most agencies in HCMC will sell you the tour but none of them are the ones organizing it so it's often difficult to make a complaint or having someone that cares. In this case I can't stress enough how good it feels to have a honest customer service in case something goes bad. If you want to book a tour in Vietnam, me sure to book it with someone like pioneer as they really take your customer...

The hostel is good and clean, the owners nice and friendly and the area is just perfect. |But do not book the Mekong river tour with them. They will take you to the river and to the locals for trying food and drinks. But they all just want to have your money and that’s really annoying. At the end you go to an animal farm where you eat your lunch. It’s horrible how the animals have to live there: small concrete cages and dirty water if they are lucky to have some. Crocodiles, frogs, snakes, pigs, fishes, horses.. they all just suffering. If you don’t want to support that, don’t go there. |You can also book the tour to the tunnels with them and that is really good, but it’s over a different company. The company is called „TnK- the Journey of your lifetime“ and it’s just around the corner. I guess it’s cheaper if you book it...

We had a great experience with Pioneer Travel today, our tour to Mekong Delta is such an amazing experience where they orient and gave us knowledgeable facts to know more about vietnamese people and their culture. 🇻🇳🤘 i love how very accomodating and friendly they are. We enjoyed tasting their local foods, local songs, the local and so much more! Highly recommended. Package tour are awesome than others 💥 will definitely avail their packages again. Thank you also to our coolest tour guide DúY he is such an awesome and great guide to us....
