I'm disgusted at our stay here. Our room was growing mould, the drinking cups had cigarette ash in them, there was someone else's dirty socks in the bathroom, the main bedroom had water pooling all over the floor, there was just a hole in the top of the ceiling leading to the corridor where light came through all night, our bedsheets were damp and smelled like old laundry. When packing the next morning i left my e-reader there. After a day i realised i couldn’t find it and knew where i left it. When i went back they seemed hesitant to give it back before doing so sheepishly. They had my contact information and did not use it, and instead were going to keep it.
When i used it next they had messed with settings and tried to connect it to their wifi so i know they were trying to use it. I am disgusted with our stay and would genuinely not recommend this to my worst enemy. I have backpacked for months and this was the worst...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights in the double room with the balcony for a very reasonable price. The bathroom was shared which we didn't mind, and there are rooms with a private bathroom if you prefer. This is a great family run guesthouse and the Quong family are awesome - very welcoming, really helpful, lovely, hospitable people. We could not have wished for better hosts. We hired a scooter from the guesthouse and were able to see the silver waterfall, love waterfall and the magnificent view at Tram Ton Pass (don't stop at the first site on your left with the concrete steps, continue down a bit until you see the wooden deck on your left. Buy a beer, climb up and let the view take your breath away) in one afternoon. Just down from the guesthouse on the left are a couple of restaurants, which serve very tasty pho. Our hosts also arranged our transport by bus to Dien...
