Genki Market: Sunday Market — Local services in Brisbane City

Visited this place a few times, maybe 3-4 times. It’s located in a carport behind the mart itself. The place is quite small, with about four tenants serving Japanese food and accessories along the hallway and behind. There’s also an art and craft workshop in the upper floors, if I’m not mistaken.

I can’t recall the name of the food in the pic, but it was quite decent. The iced matcha latte from @yaki.yaki_ was decent, a bit watery, and on a sweeter side.

The last time I visited, it was raining, and the staff handled the situation poorly. They tried to release the water from the tents, but they splashed to other visitors, causing puddles everywhere.

I don’t recommend anyone to try yakidoba (fried noodles) and takoyaki ( octopus balls) because they are not the ones I had in Japan. Not much octopus inside the ball and the chef can’t make sure octopus ball’s shape is round which is ridiculous. Not much cabbages and no meat and carrots in the noodles which costs me $12 and it’s a rip off. I sincerely recommend anyone who likes Japanese food to go to a more decent place and don’t...
