Probably one of the worst manager and experience I’ve come across by far in any restaurant. Me and my friend dined in for lunch on the 28th of Dec between 1pm-2.20pm and there was a female manager (seems to be Korean?) who was running the floor alongside other staffs whom if I may add, were so much more cheerful than the manager herself.
Additionally, the beef bulgogi was so inexplicably sweet that I forced myself to finish the plate.
What happened after is when the purpose of this review comes in.
I was drinking my water from the water jug until I heard a “cling” at the bottom of my cup. To my horror and disbelief, it was this shard of glass that was nearly the circumference of the cup itself and according to the manager, something broke (which I assume it broke above the water jugs) but she was in a rush to set a table up that she forgot about the breakage or even considered the possibility that the surrounding food/beverages could be contaminated with potentially dangerous glass shards.
When I asked to speak to the manager, she only sympathised by saying sorry continuously but there wasn’t any apologetic feel to her sorry nor any service recovery proposed. Instead, I originally insisted to have the whole meal comp-ed but she only offered to waive off the beverages we ordered (which is just a Coke Zero for myself).
Chuckling with disbelief, I in no way whatsoever would accept that service recovery because if I were to swallow shard, this situation could have been a lot worse and probably get the resultant sued or closed down. If it didn’t happen to me, it could have been worse for someone else in my place.
After arguing that I don’t want my beverage to be waived off but rather the whole meal to be waived, I’ve suggested to at least give me a 50% discount (which was given in the end) since she can’t waive off the whole meal but even this, she had to check with her bosses for permission (What’s the point of being a manager if you don’t even have the empowerment to give 50% discount on what could have been a very dangerous situation and instead, call your bosses for permission?).
No doubt are the waiters and waitresses there apologetic after hearing of the incident but never would I ever come back to dine here. This is absolutely unacceptable and no excuse could be given to justify...
Read moreI traveled with some friends in Perth, we had dinner at this restaurant, we ordered and enjoyed the food normally, and we ordered the last fried rice plate. After finishing everything, we chit chatted and still waited the last plate in 15mins, my friends said why were so long for the last plate, I asked 1 waitress near to us “why is our food so long?” It s normal question in F&B service, right?
Instead of she should answer me that “sr, I will serve u in 10’ bc we are so busy and full paxs today, thanks for waiting!” It s very exemplary writing, right?
But NO, she shouted to my face “U just ordered in 10-15mins and u ask me ur food now…bla bla? We were very shock at that time, but I wonder maybe I were wrong bc I asked her about our food! After that, she came back the kitchen, brought our plate, came to us and THROWN it on our table in front of our surprised faces… Wow, and of course she raised her voice and argued with me- her customers, she asked us need this plate or not… 😂 The other waiter/waitress said sorry a lot to us, my friends said “we need talk with manager” But one more surprise this restaurant brought to us, her colleagues said “she is our manager” Wow again for her.
She is manager but she looked down customers, I think she is maybe a boss’s wife or daughter, or she look down Asian peoples like us, so funny. How can she become a manager and work in F&B service with that bad attitude and terrible behavior like that? This restaurant trained employees like that, did it?
And of course we canceled that plate, paid money and came back home.
This was the first time I have been Perth and the first time I had to comment about 1 restaurant on Google also bc of our terrible experience at here. They don’t need customers. You should CONSIDER when choosing this restaurant! Thanks...
Read moreMy partner and I celebrated our 18th anniversary here recently. It was busy, so I’m glad we booked, but service was quick and really good. We ordered the original set, and requested swapping the chicken out for more of the beef and pork, which was accommodated and we appreciated. The food was spectacular and the pricing reasonable. A couple of things to note - we were late for our booking by 20 minutes (which I phoned about and it wasn’t an issue with them) because the traffic getting close enough to park was absolutely horrendous, we ended up having to take a detour right around because the lights changed about 10 times and cars couldn’t move at all. Our booking was for 7pm so we hadn’t expected it to still be so busy, so allow for that if you’re planning on dining here. Also, it was a little surprising that the tables don’t have extractor fans, so the restaurant was very smoky from the time we entered until when we left and unfortunately this was a problem as the smoke was blown straight into my face by the free-standing air con they had blowing from the bar area. Unfortunately this meant we had to eat and get out of there quicker than we...
