Manila Sari-Sari Store — Local services in Sydney

I’ll never go back to this store. There were 2 ladies at the cashier and they were busy chit chat. I went there because it’s the closest filo grocery store from my place. I was looking for ube jam and ube flavouring. I found the jam but not the flavouring, so I did ask to one of the ladies. Then the lady was pointing at a small section where there was a stack of food colouring and food flavouring but still I couldn’t find the ube flavour. I asked her again and she said “the one that has ‘violet’ on it”. I was like no, this is not the ube but she insisted me that it was the same as ube flavour😂 Fool me I believe what she said and still buy it (because it was my 1st time too so I got lost). Poor tacky customer service. Products are ok at best. I won't be coming back and have let my family know. Will be sure to spread word beyond family not to shop here. In top of the very poor service I was short changed. Enjoy your little tip from me guys coz I aint coming back. Oh yeah I am of Filipino heritage but grew up here in oz as a baby. This embarrasses me. No wonder why Pamana restaurant in Chatswood didn't last long. Poor service as well as being overpriced. If you want to experience POOR customer service go to this place. The women just stood behind the counter chatting while I stood there waiting to be served. When they finally decided to do their job, I asked if they had eftpos, no response so I asked was that a yes or no, she rudely shouted “YES” like I was an army Sargent. Completely unprofessional and best to go elsewhere for better service and after getting home, better items that’s not out of its use by date.
